Linda's Restaurant

We went there for lunch today and it was awful.  We got there and there were only two waitresses covering about 15 tables, so the initial greeting took about ten minutes (if it had not been the only place open at 1030 and we needed to be back at our event by 12 I would have walked out right then), then when we received our order I was missing part of my order and reminded the waitress, but I never got it.  My food was awful, French toast that was burnt on one side and raw on the other and over-easy eggs that still had raw whites.  I'm hoping I don't get sick.  You get what you pay for, it is very cheap.  I spent years as a waitress, so I'm pretty forgiving because I know how hard they work, but this place was horrible.

I went to get my tribal card today in Pembroke NC, I have never been and wanted to know about things to do in town while I was there.  I was told by someone at the tribal council to eat at Linda's that she had very good fried chicken.  As many of yall may know I really like fried chicken...lol.  Any who on my way out of town I decided to stop by a few places to mingle with the people and try to learn some things about Pembroke.  I stopped by Linda's and at first we stuck out like a sore thumb, but then we were greeted and told to sit wherever we wanted and someone would see us.  Not sure if they thought we were from there so they pretty much just treated us like the locals and nothing is wrong with that.  So we got situated and seated, had a very nice waitress, they place wasn't crowded so that was cool.  We all ordered our food, and it was amazingly delicious.  I love salads but normally not the house one, but I ordered any way for one of my sides, I also don't like ranch dressing.  But my choices were slim to none so I got the ranch.  It was by far the best home made ranch I have ever had in my life major thumbs up for that.  I also got the chicken with potato wedges and hush puppies.  Odd combination, but it all came together really well.  The food was great, the people were nice.  My only complaint was the flies they pretty much ran us out of the place after a while.  But you can see that any way, and it was hot so....Any way it was a nice place to eat at, friendly people.  Yall should try it, if you are ever in Pembroke.
