The Livonia Inn sometimes suffers from an image problem. Â It's been around for a long time, Â and has gone through a lot of different chef's. Â Sometimes it's been fantastic, Â and other times not so much. Â Â That being said, Â they've held on to the same chef for a while now, Â and the food has been consistently good. Â The menu is sort of old school meat and potatoes. Â They aren't trying to be trendy or fancy like some of the newer restaurants in the area. Â
On a recent trip, Â I had veal marsala, Â and my wife had salmon. Â Both meals were very tasty. Â They include a salad bar, Â which you don't see too much of anymore. Â The ingredients on the bar were fresh and crisp. Â Â
The nicest thing is that when the bill came, Â I didn't feel like I had been kicked in the head like some of the other places in town. Â Dinner for two, Â including a couple of drinks was around $40.
