Local Break

Me and a few friends were biking from Hyannis to P-town over a weekend. Day 2 we stayed in Eastham and found Local Break because it was listed as Vegetarian and had some decent beer choices.

Overall Local Break was pretty solid. Our waiter was great, greeting us "I bet this is the most fun you've had on a Saturday night, right?" and generally had some good jokes.

The beer selection was good (too many stouts, it's summer and I have been sweating all day!) and the food was pretty solid. I had a veggie burger and fries, the price was right, it was tasty and came with beet chips on top... nicely done on the beet chips. The bun was buttery, seemed home-made and more noteable than the patty. Meat eating friends had the house burger, which they seemed to like. I feel like it had bacon infused mayo or something? If I were a meat-eater I am sure that would have gotten me all hot and bothered.

If you're on the cape and aren't going for Lobster or Fried Clams, give this place a shot.

LOVE this place. Our bartender really knew his food and drink menu. I trusted him 2 out of 3 times on his suggestions...wish I had made it 3 out of 3 because he was right both times. Chill environment and a discount for wearing Pats gear on game days.

After hearing great things about the Local Break over the past couple months I finally had the chance to go check this place out for myself.  My first thought when walking in was "Wow what a transformation!"  The decor is ambiance is both inviting and makes you want to stay and hang out with your friends.  My hubby and I sat at wooden high top booth with another couple.  The booth was quite comfortable.  
So their drink selection seemed large enough to make most people happy.  And they even had a list of signature cocktails which I always like seeing.  We ordered food, we started with chicken wings which I was told were "the best!"  Yes, they were good but not great.  Their chowder if very good and has real little necks in it-shell and all.  I kept it simple and ordered a burger which was very good.  It was juicy and had lots of lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions to dress it up with.  My hubby ordered the ribeye which was very nicely displayed and cooked perfectly.  His only complaint was that it was surprisingly spicy, we should have known this in advance.  But he did enjoy every bite. The other couple enjoyed their flatiron steak, and philly cheese steak.  
I was very pleased with the friendly service and especially happy with how quickly the food came out of the kitchen on a Friday evening.  
Im looking forward to returning.
