Ever have the urge to eat awesome tacos and belt out your best tunes in front of happy friendly patrons? If your answer is yes, then this is the place for you! I love that to do karaoke and I love the fact that, unlike most places where you are lucky if you get one song in after hours of waiting, at Loree's  I can usually get in most of my favorites, I sing my heart and throat out on most visits, and best of all they offer Karaoke 7 nights a week starting at 9:00 and usually going till past 1 a.m.
Their tacos are great, with yummy parm  cheese taco shells and a bucket of homemade sauces. This is the best place to go to meet your pub food cravings and to let your inner rock star emerge .
This place used to have the best hamburgers you could find in the area but things seem to have changed. Now, they seem very average and, thus, overpriced. They also used to make their own onion rings but the last time I was there, I feel sure they were 'out of a bag'. The servers are nice and friendly but not particularly attentive. Most of the 'action' seems to be at the bar so if you're sitting at a booth, it's easy to be forgotten.
I'm going to give it another try again sometime in the future but I'm not optimistic.
Well, I used to LOVE Lorees...now I just like it a lot. Â
The tacos really are delicious and only $1 during happy hour. Â Drink prices are reasonable. Â Two pool tables in back. Darts, a couple arcade games. Big screen tvs.
Most of the bartenders are pretty friendly.
I just haven't felt the same fun, happy vibe since one of my favorite bartenders and the best cook of all time have apparently "left". Â :(
Oh well. Â I will still continue to go for the happy hour tacos and pool and hope that the energy livens up....back to the way it was just a couple of months ago.
Sure I would like another shot of Jim Beam - We ran up to Loree's on Thursday afternoon at about 7 PM for a quick dinner of their tacos. Let me set the scene for you. Two guys and two girls were seated at the bar, that's it...so we ordered our drinks and got my tiny tiny shot in the fake beveled shot glass which amounted to less than half a real shot. Then we waited for our order to be taken and I finally gave up and went to the kitchen and was promptly told I had to go back to the bar to give it, so I did. The Taco's were what we expected and we enjoyed them, but we got tired of asking for our drinks to be freshened, or the water my wife never got. I then thought I would liven things up a bit with a little money in the juke box - oh hell no.."the owner said I can't turn it up".. I finally had to call it quits when the jack ass next to us was bragging about his unemployment check he was getting so loudly I could not hear the already whisper coming from the jukebox..
Due to the piss poor service, horrible pours, juke box rules, and the lazy slob spending his unemployment check on drinks, and bragging about not looking for work, we have given up on Loree's. Be a cold day in hell before we go back.
A group of us were looking for a place to grab a bite to eat and take advantage of happy hour before going to the movies and Yelp led us to Loree's. I was a little skeptical, given the previous reviews, but people raved about the $1 tacos, and happy hour lasts until 7pm, so we took a chance.
The giant mason jars of beer (for $6) kept us entertained *almost* the whole 45 minutes we had to wait to order food. Yep, you read that right. There was a table of 8 people in a not-very-busy Loree's on an early Friday evening and it literally took that long before someone came to even take our order. Luckily, the tacos lived up to our expectations and were served shortly after we placed our order.
I'll frequent Loree's again (but solely for the tacos) as long as I'm not starving and am in a relaxed enough mood to not care about the half-assed service.
I'm not sure if the owner is deaf, cheap, stupid or all 3 Â because the sound system at this place is horrible. Â The girl running the karaoke has no interest or idea about what she's doing. Â If she didn't go outside the instant someone starts to sing she might learn something. Â The wait between the end of a song and her return spanned anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes (not kidding). Â I give this place a P for PASS.
Review Source:Well, this place used to have good Karaoke.
All of the KJ's but one are horrible. They do not know how to use thier machines settings to make the patrons sound a little better, or the just dont care about the quality of thier jobs.
I found that they start your song, then disapear until your song ends.
I have been to other places in CH and the surrounding areas that have quality karaoke, this is NOT one of them.
I worked as a KJ when it was run by another company MANY years ago and wow what a difference a few years makes.
Do not get me started on the bargain basement quality sound system.
If you are looking for a good Karaoke bar go elsewhere.
Decent drinks are the only tyhing that saved Lorees from getting one star!
Lame bar, lame beer selection (if you could call it that) lame people in the bar and lame karaoke. Â This was like taking a trip back to the 70's, without any of the fun.. Â Yeah, it is drinking bar but on Friday night with only a few people in the bar, the karaoke was so loud that I could not wait to finish my lousy beer and get out of there. Â In the half an hour I spent here I heard The "N" Word a minimum of four times, and met some of the dumbest people on earth.
So if you are into drinking lousy beer, loud, lame karaoke and stupid conversation then this is you place.
It is not mine. Â Shame too, because it is close to my home and I would love to have a local place where I could go...
What is funny is that I have been a patron of Loree's since the Sunrise days and used to frequent the Rocklin location many times in the past. Â And I loved them. Â But this is a bar that does nothing at all for me except make me feel uncomfortable.
One visit was more than enough to know I will never go back.
I used to live in Rancho Cordova near the legendary dive bar/burger joint "Loree's Little Shack by the Railroad Track", so how stoked was I to find out that this place, right around the corner from my parents house, is part of the "Loree's Little Shack..." legacy? Answer: Pretty fucking stoked.
Great food, super friendly bartenders, a total "neighborhood hang" vibe, and, what do you know, they still serve drinks in mason jars (just like at the original place). They have karaoke 7 nights a week, so if that's your thing then there ya go. The burgers are top notch, and, apparently, they have the world's best tacos (according to the sign out front). I'll have to try those soon.
An all around good time. Solid five star dive!
Long drive for me just to see friends and hangout for Karaoke, but I tried and that was several times. First time I was here I ordered food and I was impressed with it. Service was not bad either. I give kudos to the server girl because she's very patient to go in and out the big patio to get and serve orders out.
This is the place where they have 7 nights of Karaoke. That's a good thing if I was living nearby it. Why isn't there a 7day-karaoke place here in the bay area? Or perhaps I haven't discovered? :-)
This place is very diverse, at least that's how I saw it then. I haven't been here for quite some time now so I'm not sure if some things have changed. But if you're in this area and you want Karaoke, you're lucky. Seven days of microphone fun. Just don't try to make it rain. Kidding.
Um...I think the chef mistook the salt for sugar because everything was SUPER SALTY. Â I couldn't even eat the potatoes. Â We were definitely disappointed since we had a stellar breakfast months before at the Rocklin location.
Great tacos though...I would actually go back for those...crazy, huh??
We went here Friday night for a girl's night out. We'd planned to go to another bar, but it was dead when we arrived. Â We finally ended up at Lorre's. Â It was a blast. Â Good drinks, friendly waitresses, and a great karaoke hostess. Â The bar is a nice size, busy but not too crowded. Â I was pleasantly surprised.
