We've been here 4 times in the last couple months. We really enjoy the food and especially the service we get here. If something you like isn't on the menu, they've always accommodated us. We really love their homemade pico de gallo and fiesta fajitas for two. We'll b back!!

This was a treat - a reasonably authentic Mexican restaurant in a central Illinois farm town.  We were driving up to Stark County and knew that the restaurant offerings in Toulon and Wyoming were pretty slim, so when we turned through Princeville and saw Los Jimadores 2 we were intrigued enough to pull over and stop in for lunch.

Pretty diverse menu.  I had the tacos al pastor, kids and SO had chicken enchiladas and quesadillas.  Darn tasty.  Salsa and chips were plentiful and fairly spicy for a restaurant in a gabacho town.  What really struck me was the beer selection - I was amazed to get a Bohemia in a town like Princeville.  Service was accurate and expeditious.

So it's not really as authentic and flavorsome as the taquerias or panaderias that one can find on any main street in South El Monte or Calipatria, and I probably wouldn't order guacamole or caldo de siete mares at lunchtime given the low turnover, but Los Jimadores 2 certainly hit the spot for us.  I wouldn't detour 13 miles off the interstate to get there, but if you're in the neighborhood for sure check it out.

I was in town visiting and heard only good things about Los Jimadores so I decided to give it a try.  The menu wasn't very exciting.

I ordered the guacamole and when it arrived it was the consistancy of apple sauce and tasted like they had mixed together ranch dressing and avacados. My guess it that they were trying to stretch the avacados. I can't say for sure.

I ordered a strange enchilada plate topped with verde sauce and shredded pork.
It wasn't good. I forget what it was called.

The chips, salsa, margarita, and service was good though.

I am not sure why Los Jimadores has such a fan following because it wasn't very good at all, I wouldn't reccomend it.
