I like the fact I can walk in with my family and sit right down and catch many of my favorite pro and college sports on there numerous televisions. I can eat from a menu I can actually read and see the prices on, for a very modest price.
This time I had the chicken fried steak dinner with the broccoli salad and mashed potatoes, My wife had the supreme pizza. Both of our meals were excellent, service was great and my sweet tea was refilled without my asking. We had the chocolate cherry cheesecake for dessert, very good. All of this for under $30.00, I like the math.
A Carmen Figuratum*:
It was fine.
Was a lot of food.
Seriously. A lot of food.
Shoe string fries were quite good.
Big Lou's (I think?) burger was... big.
Nothing impressive or magical about it though.
Decent, but the grilled onions were cold.
The cheese tasted very... processed.
Service was cheerful and quick.
A very bloat-worthy meal.
I took a nap after.
It was fine.
*Note: Sort of.
Yukon isn't known for their epicurean scene. Other than Alfredo's Mexican restaurant, there's not much I like in terms of food in this town. Unfortunately, Alfredo's was closed for the night and I missed my plane to go back home to Vegas, so I wasn't in the best of moods. I guess I'd try Louie's.
What a pleasant surprise! I had some incredible fish at this restaurant. I ordered the black bean salsa tilapia with a side of broccoli salad and potato soup. Literally, everything was great tasting!
I spent the night watching men's gymnastics during the Olympics and eating great food. Can't complain. I'd definitely go back!
Scenario:
Take out order; order placed on phone. First time visit.
Pro: Polite phone manners, attentive. Good tasting burger and mashed potatoes.
Con: Waiting to be helped took too long. Did not receive all food that was ordered. Was not given to-go utensils or anything.
When I had to return to get my missing items, the gal who helped me was friendly and quick, so that saved and the food quality saved the rating.
After another visit I may adjust the rating.
I'm reviewing the drive up takeaway service here, but I can also attest that the dine-in experience is great as well!
This is our go to post-workout or any night we just can't be bothered to cook and don't want to go out. We both love the chicken tender salad and often get two to go. One of the waitresses recommended getting the chicken and cheese on the side when ordering to go and that is the best tip I've ever received. It keeps the lettuce from getting wilty, the cheese doesn't melt on your way home, and you can choose how much cheese you add. The very best thing is that you call it in and in 15 minutes you pull up and they will grab your payment and hand you your food--perfection!!
After several disgusting meals on a cross country trip we stumbled upon this place. Burgers were delicious. (Best I've had in a long time) Great atmosphere and service. Â We will remember this place as we head back home next week. Easy access off the 40fwy at Garth Brooks dr exit. (evidently Yukon is his hometown)
