Luigiano's Italian Restaurant

We have eaten here 3 or 4 times.  Food is always good, service is a little rough but gets the job done.  Once there was a soloist providing music.  Will go back , but will check bill a little closer to determine charges based on the other review.

Check your ticket before you leave tip. It is automatically included.

We hadn't been back to Luigiano's in at least a year. They have made some very good changes to their food, decor and service.

Everything was fine until we got our ticket and realized we were automatically charged a tip. There were only two of us, and we had appetizers, entrees and ice tea.
The funny thing is, we were going to tip more than what was added to our ticket. However, the presumptuous action of just adding something that should be left to the patron to leave is distasteful to say the least.

We were brushed off when we asked why. You should have this published in your menu before people order.

I realize waitstaff make their money off their tips, but most people do tip. Adding it to a customer's ticket is extremely poor business practice. We are very good tippers, but treating all customers like they won't tip is insulting. You are doing the opposite of helping your servers.

Most of the food tasted like gourmet Italian frozen dinner in a bag. Bizarrely the fried eggplant was the best I've ever had. All this and overpriced to boot. Will not be returning.
