Billy Sims Barbeque

I'm torn.  My rating is a definite 3.5.  So the universal Yelp question...round down or up?  I chose down.

I would much rather have had a Billy & Ike's open here.  We already have Swadley's, and quite frankly I like them.  But...I find their ribs a bit...I dunno.  They aren't bad but they just don't get the job done.  So I figured I would swing by Billy Sims and give them a try.  Exact opposite.  I'm fairly confident in this, as I tried the sampler.  I'd kill for some more of their ribs right now.  As for the rest?  Meh.  As for the sides?  Meh minus.  The 'smoked potato' wasn't smoked at all...it was wrapped in tin foil so even if you DID have it in the smoker, it is just steamed and has no smoke flavor.  Did taste good when I put some sauce on it though, but still wasn't smoked.

Sure wouldn't mind a nice coney dog though, which we don't have available in Mustang.  *sigh*  Oh well...maybe if this one doesn't work out you might consider putting a Billy & Ike's there?  Maybe keep a smoker just for ribs?  Or hey, make it a double restaurant.  Whatever, just give me some coneys and I'll be there.
