The Pad Thai is excellent.  Love this place and the staff.  A wonderful family friendly place.

Lived in Mount Airy for 13 years and often just drove by this place.  Searched for a place for a casual anniversary dinner and was surprised the high ratings for this place on Yelp as well as all the Thai dishes among a broad menu.  We tried it and were very, very pleased.  My wife and I both shared crab balls, red curry with chicken, and pad thai with shrimp.  The chicken was spicy but not overly and the pad thai was as good as any I had in Thailand when i visited in November.  Service was fantastic and we capped the meal with some tasty homemade vanilla ice cream.   We found our new go-to restaurant in Mt. Airy and look forward to going back for the diner style offerings and MD steamed crabs!

Went to Lu & Joe's all the time in the 80's when I lived in Md. At that time, I ate grilled cheese and tomato on rye with a glass of chablis. Every time we come back, we stop in here, play some numbers, get great food to eat, and have a terrific time. Shrimp rolls, yum!!!!!
