We ate here this mast Sunday about noon and were not impressed with most of our meal.  My sandwich was the Reuben and was good  - based on their menu their strong suit seem to be the sandwiches.  The sides were just OK.
My Mom had a waffle and was not impressed. Â It was a dry waffle served on a paper plate with a prepackaged thing of syrup and butter - period. Â It felt as if we were across the street at McD's. Â When you take a 91 Yo old out for lunch you hope for a more memorable comment that "This is not as good as the places we usually go".
My wife had a salad and it was the saddest looking lettuce that I have ever seen. Â Part of a head of lettuce that most of use would not use were prominent. Â I asked her about it later and she said that it was her fault - that the last time she had ordered a salad she had also been let down. Â
Like many others we love the fact that they can now sell beer etc. Â And my wife will continue to use the place as a meeting point for coffee but for anything other than a sandwich I would not return
Went up 2 weeks ago for Jazz night and had a real good time. Enjoyed the band very much. There was a $10 cover charge, which they said went to the band, which is fine with me. They deserved more than that. Yes it is a cozy place but the crowd was very friendly, probably 40 people or so and all the tables were full. All I had was a glass of wine so I can't comment on the food. I will be returning for Jazz night again and would recommend it to all. I'll try the food next time everyone there said it was very good.
Review Source:Met with some girlfriends here on Tuesday and it turns out if was karaoke night. Â It was good to meet Chris and she took great care of us. Â The food was really good and there was good variety on the menu. Â Had Seafood Bisque and Salad and it was delicious, they served the salad with a housemade blueberry vinaigrette. Â The rest of our party had other sandwiches, someone had the Sinatra and it was also good. Â I ordered the "Twinbrook Deli Twist" as a to go sandwich for my husband and it was very good and true to the original also. Â Anyone who used to get cold cut subs at the Twinbrook Deli and has a craving for the original, this is the place to go! Â The coleslaw is homemade and very good. Â It was nice to dine here and I enjoyed the karaoke, although it was very loud for such a small place, so we did have a hard time hearing each other talk, but we still all had a good time. Â I had a hot hibiscus tea and it was good. Â They offer a wide variety of milk shakes and other frozen drinks, smoothies, frappes, as well as hot coffee, lattes, assorted pastries, etc. Â They are also now serving beer and wine. Â They have some tables in the back on the patio for summer nights and we might try that next time we come. Â I would like to come back for Jazz night and make a date of it. Â If I do, I will post another review. Â All in all a winner and I am looking forward to a return visit.
