The first time we went here for tapas and drinks, it was amazing! The second was a bust :(
Ambiance - There are comfy seats overlooking the gorgeous resort greens and the fancy pool. However, our second night there was a serious cockroach issue. There were at least three (I think four) cockroaches scurrying around a different table. Then they moved right near our feet! We switched tables. It is Hawaii and bugs are to be expected but the staff could've handled the situation better.
Food - The mediterranean hummus, tapenade, and pepper appetizer was delicious! The hummus wasn't great but the tapenade and pepper sauce sure were.
Drinks - The passion fruit margarita has to be one of my favorite drinks ever! Delicious.
Service - The waitress we had was a young, pretty, Hawaiian woman but I forget her name. She had a great memory - remembering both us and our orders from nights before! I wish I myself could give her a pay raise!
Yummy drinks and pupus, live music, beautiful sunset, excellent service - a 5 star experience! We went three times during our 10 day stay and it was good every time. The only appetizer that we had that wasn't that great was the shrimp. Just too much breading. The Mai Tai, and other mixed drinks were really yummy. Especially the caipirinha. Also, we tried the fish sliders and the lumpia as well. They were all good. They brought a little trio of nuts including mac nuts with the drinks. The area is well situated because the wind was blocked for the most part. The happy hour pricing only refers to a few wines and doesn't include the food.
