In spite of the weird, borderline offensive, name, this is a great burger joint with a full bar and gambling.

They feature a specifically vegetarian black bean burger, and all burgers can be substituted with a veggie patty; this is not an informal thing: it is written in bold red on the menu. The garnishes range from salads, to sweet potato fries, through onion rings, tater tots, and fries. Some good bears and wines on the menu, and of course, the full bar.

Ambiance is adult bar with no view.

The food here is amazing! Their hamburgers are very flavor full and the garlic fries are wonderful! Looking forward to going back soon.

LUCKY YOU IF YOU END UP AT THE LUCKY BEAVER

AFter a rowdy night celebrating both a wedding and Independence Day, our group crawled downtown to place some bets and eat some buffet.  I spent the morning swearing to never drink vodka again, and was struggling to keep my eyes open for more of the afternoon.  It was not pretty.

I had noticed this place when driving into town and did a literal 'Laugh Out Loud' at the sign hanging over their entrance, focusing on a little lady beaver. Ha. Awesome. So glad that we decided to check it out. Not sure if they're new or I'm sheltered, but I'd never been in here before.

Our group decided to stop for a drink. OH my! Red Bull - Vodka it is. I braved the drink TJ poured, surprised it was in a taller glass than I usually see. Larger than rocks, smaller than pint. It was the perfect amount and a good pour. Not too strong, but a good value for the $7.00.

Live music sang from the entrance was very entertaining, as well video gambling at the bar.  The food looked great but it is a bar and smoking is allowed in Nevada so if you're planning to eat, you may want to sit by the door. Don't get me wrong though, it wasn't smoky inside. It was nice.

Definitely a place we'll return when we're in town next!

Visited South shore for the first time in about a year.  Happened upon the Lucky Beaver.  So very glad we did!  Service was excellent both times we ate there.  Had the Chicago dog, excellent!  Had a burger as well as a breakfast sandwich (in our group).  The food is so very tasty, this type of place was needed right in the middle of the hotels.
We used to come up several times a year, I know we will visit this place the next time we are here.
I highly recommend you try this place if you want some quality burgers and hot dogs, great drinks, awesome staff, friendly management, and relaxed environment.
Well worth stopping in, chili is great too!

I've been going to this place since they opened up. I love the staff here they are all so friendly and attentive. I've managed to try pretty much everything on the menu and it is all very good food. The burgers are the best here they may be a little pricey but definitely worth it.

Pretty good food, very much a pub grub sort of place. Burgers are giant. Decent drink specials and service. Some of their costume "beaver" drinks are funny names and delicious. Something awesome is it's open with a full kitchen 24 hours a day, and right next to the casinos. I Will be returning.

OMG...seriously? Lucky Beaver? I love this place for so many reasons. First, the name...totally cracks me up (guess I am a little twisted but god bless the person that came up with this catchy little title). Second, the beer is cold and good. 3, These folks are very welcoming and 4th and foremost, the MASSIVE burgers are absolutely divine. They have decadent choices for the burgers which makes them even better. Not overly expensive and they have these beer battered onion rings that would make the pope sing...If you are there, you gotta go....and you have no excuse because they are open 24/7...now, whats there NOT to love at this place?

We had a great time when we ate here. Staff was friendly & kept our drinks filled. It has a nice atmosphere with lots of sports games on the flatscreens. We ordered the $14 burgers with the onion ring, barbecue sauce & bacon. It was so delicious! The tater tots, garlic fries, & sweet potato fries are all great, too! I had a girlie drink called the Sigourney Beaver & it was excellent. All the drink names were hilarious, to go along with the "Lucky Beaver" theme. One was called the Justin Beaver. Loved it! We also shared an order of the calamari fries & they were also delicious. Served with a dill tartar sauce & lemon slices. Yum!! We will definitely be back here. Its a welcome change from the mediocre casino food, for sure.

    Chicago dog is really good.

I also tried their house beer of Lucky Beaver Pale Ale, that topped off a delicious fast dinner before we went out to the casinos.

Only 4 stars because is was SO loud in there and it wasn't even 9:00 yet on a Thursday. We pretty much had to yell to hear each other.

Found this place on Yelp, while looking for a place to get a good burger near the casinos. I was not let down!   From the moment we walked in Friday night, we were impressed.  Live music was really good, our burgers and tater tots were really good, the servers were friendly and attentive & the atmosphere was very fun.  In fact, we were so impressed that we returned for Bloody B's and breakfast sandwiches the next morning...and then again twice more during our weekend in Tahoe.  I do highly recommend this place above any other bars in S Lake Tahoe.

Oh - it is a sports bar so there are TV's with all the games which is also a nice bonus.

Seriously the best french fries I've ever had. I got the hot dog, it looked wrinkly and dry on arrival, but it was delicious. Great flavor and really juicy. The bun was even flavorful so I didn't feel like i was eating useless carbs. My boyfriend got a burger and tater tots and said they were amazing, we almost went back the next night because it was that good. Plus my hot dog was only $4.50. His burger was 12 bucks. Not too bad.

Okay, being from Texas I know my beef.  What I was not expecting was a $14 hamburger, a little pricey where I come from.  I told the server that I could handle the price if the burger was truly good but I was going to be pissed if it sucked.  She assured me that it would be one of the best burgers I had ever eaten.  Well it was delicious and she did not lie.  The beer was good and cold and the tots crisp and hot.  If I had anything to say to the contrary it would be that the meat was did not seem seasoned at all.
I was hoping that Bill's casino was still there serving up those cheap hot dogs and beers but the Lucky Beaver did not disappoint.
    Clean, good service, nice atmosphere.

Great little bar in the middle of the casinos at stateline. Strong drinks and yummy food.

You can get tater tots instead of fries which is always a plus. I had the Johnson dog which was a grilled Nathan's hot dog(the best!) on a poppy seed bun. Juicy dog with a crispy grilled outer layer. Served with crispy tater tots for $4, it couldn't be beat. On the tables are a variety of sauces including a whiskey glaze that was the perfect dipper for the chicken strips.

The open kitchen with the rotating flaming grill is a nice touch when you first walk in. The staff were friendly except for one seemingly overworked bartender.

A few short steps away from Harrah's, Harvey's and the Horizon, it was a welcoming bar with a comfortable local feel instead of the stuffy casino bars. I'll definitely be back.

Got the munchies at the casinos at 4am after a long night of drinking and dancing and gambling and boozing?! Looking for someplace open 24hrs with burgers or breakfast or drinks or apps?! Have enough cash left over in your wallet to afford it?! This is the place to go!
A lil pricey but not unreasonable for what you get; A quality burger averages $13, the calamari is thick steak fry cut or you could get a tower of onion rings! The wings are good too! I loved their veggie black bean burger. when I bit into it I had to do a double take cause it seemed eerily similar to a beef patty! But no, vegetarian & delicious. $3(I think) coors lite drafts, full stocked bar, Signature "Bloody B.." With a Guinness float, bar slot machines, lots of TVs to watch your game, jukebox with good music, etc...
The best service will be given to you by Kristina!

We stumbled upon this place because the brewery we were planning on going to decided to close early since they were not that busy. So thankful they did because I LOVED this place. They had a beer special for $3 and we started with a basket of their sweet potato fries. They were cooked to perfection. Perfectly crisp and not soggy at all. I decided for dinner to order the $7 breakfast sandwich that came with fries. It was egg, cheese of choice (for me pepper jack) and a choice of meat, bacon for me. It was cooked on sourdough toast. It was honestly a great sandwich. 5 stars if the yoke was just a little runny because that is how I like it. For the price you cannot get better. I could honestly go for one right now!

ok, so this really was the best burger I've had in so long. That being said, it had better been the best burger ever had since it costs $15. No really though, it was bomb. Service was really good too, we left our iphone on the table and the bouncer chased us out and gave it to us, wayyy cool.

Had the Black Jack burger with the Cajun tator tots. This was a total dinner and the food was excellent! I will be back. If your in the "casino" area this is your best bet for a great meal at a decent price, don't waste your $$ at the casino blahhh places. You won't regret it. This place rocks!!

We stopped in after reading yelp reviews and I have to say the food was super delicious. My husband and friend each had a burger, flavorful and perfectly cooked. But my favorite was the calamari appetizer. Calamari steak, covered in panko and fried. We inhaled them, they were so super delicious.

Next trip to South Lake Tahoe we will be back.

After a terrible experience down the street, me and my friend stopped by here to watch a baseball game.

Night and day, I'll tell you. This place has great service, great food, and is a really fantastic place to watch sports. Lots of good high-def TVs set just above eye level, and no muddling around with remotes that may or may not be the right one, just some fancy touch screen setup that controls everything. Sweet.

Strong 4.5 stars for this newbie. They are doing it right up in this bitch!!!

Pat Lafrieda meats are served up here. Honestly, living in the bay, this is as close as I am going to get to a burger from Pat's. I like Pat Sr. more than the kid, but that's just b/c I love a fiery old bastard who talks smack all day. Anyway, as I was saying, the burgers are damn good! At the bottom of the menu it clearly states "our burgers take 15-20 minutes to cook" and that's not a problem. It was definitely worth the wait. Nice, big, juicy burger with really strong flavors. It's a mix of short rib and chuck, so that would explain the beautiful flavor profile. Either that or it's a frozen patty and I am so far up my high horse that I can't tell the difference. Fries should be ordered cajun style, which is a nice touch. I love a good shake or two over hot greasy fries with some seasoned salt.

I gotta say, I cannot believe they don't have a blender. Because they don't have a blender, they don't offer up milkshakes. And when you REALLY want the full burger and fry experience you need a shake with that! Brand new establishment, full bar and you didn't think that maybe there would be a few people dropping by who don't drink liquor? Weak sauce!

Definitely give them a shot when you are in town and bring an appetite. They have plenty of TV's tuned to sporting events, so it's a great spot for the guys night out.

Yum they have such delicious burgers and hot dogs... I am sure the rest is amazing as well, but I've only had the burgs and dogs as of now. SO GOOD. The quality of burg meat is among the best you can get in the country... I'm not just saying that.  Ask the bartender about where they get their meat from- they don't mess around. YUM.

Stopped in to do a little video poker gambling.
The Mrs.and I had the following 2 cheeseburgers with fries & garlic tater tots ,Calamari sticks, everything was excellent.
They use a round rotating grille,by the front window to cook most of the menu.
Good charred favor & the view through the front glass, seems effective in drawing U in.
They comped me 2 beers for playing the game, won $40 which covered most of the food & tip.All the employees were super friendly & it was obvious they were making an effort to make patrons fell welcome.

This is the kind place you want to find.  Their Chicago dog is better than any I've ever had from the Wacker to Vienna places in SoCal. I will be back the first chance I get.  And it has a Sports Book vending machine!

My boyfriend has been telling me about this place for some time and I finally had the chance to try it out last week. Yes, you are technically in NV so I guess it's legal to gamble and smoke even inside a restaurant... if thats something you cannot tolerate then you are better off searching for someplace else. Fortunately, it wasn't all that horrible for me. There was a small crowd for lunch and only one person was smoking at the bar. We made sure to sit away from that side.

We ordered the hot wings and a veggie black bean burger. I wanted to try a real burger but had munched on so much junk food earlier on the car ride up to Tahoe.

I was pleasantly surprised when we dug into our food. The wings were super juicy and tender on the inside. Many times you get a dry fried wing drenched in sauce, so A+ for getting it right. The burger was even better. There was a lot of flavor in that black been patty and managed to stay in one piece (most veggie patties crumble as soon as you bite into one). So if you're looking to lighten up a mid day meal. I would recommend the veggie.

This place isn't AMAZING but it exceeded my expectations of bar food by actually being delicious.

After walking 20 feet in Toms with snow coming down, we abandoned our mission to trek out to Latin Soul based on Yelp reviews and our growing aversion for hotel food.  We were EXTREMELY thankful that our Plan B to go to Lucky Beaver was a good decision.  Thank you to our friendly, patient and kind server Kelsea, who was way nicer than anyone should be who has to wait tables on Christmas Day.

To start, we ordered a basket of wings (half hot, half bbq) to share.  The hot sauce was a little salty, but the wings were steaming hot and fresh.  D got a Chicago dog with onion rings, which I can attest as being authentically Chicago-style. They use Nathan's sausages in all their dogs, which made the sandwich HUGE and meaty.  I got chili in a bread bowl, which was topped with fresh jalapenos in addition to the usual cheddar cheese and raw onions.  I liked the kick of the peppers, but found the chili a little too salty.  The bread bowl was tasty, though!  Crust on the outside and soft (but not soggy!) on the inside.

The BIG winner of the day was the Ante Burger that the parents split.  I've never met a veggie burger I liked, but BOY was this tasty!  The burger patty is made of some awesomely delicious blend of chipotle black beans and some other wonderful stuff that gives it a nutty toasty flavor and really hearty flavor.  Topped with avocado and roasted Ortega chillies, this was a filling burger that wasn't super heavy or greasy.  We all couldn't stop raving over it.  We also split a pitcher of Blue Moon and enjoyed the myriad of sports playing on the numerous flat screen TVs and the flickering flames from the grill near the window.  Don't be deceived by the humble shabby exterior!  The wood styling and pleasant staff made us feel so cozy that we sneaked back in the next morning to split some breakfast sandwiches and coffee. :P  Good thing the staff was different and didn't recognize us!  The food was still tasty and fresh... a welcome change from the lack of choices at the hotels around us.

The only downer was the cigarette smoke the wafted over from the customers gambling at the bar... I hate cigarette smoke.  It's so stinky. :(

The tater tots and wings are really good.

The burger is good too, but overpriced. Service was good and lots of tvs to watch the games.

I wish they had more selection of 'cheap eats', but I would come back again if we were in the area. We didn't have any mixed drinks but they sounded good.

The wings here are to die for!  I've been to Anchor Bar in Buffalo (...meh), plenty of chicken wing places on the east and west coast and Lucky Beaver makes 'em the way I likes 'em: lightly dredged, crispy, meaty, juicy, and the sauce is just right

Top it off with a cool atmosphere for hanging out, a diversity of beers on tap, and an awesome liquor selection....and 'the Beaver' is a winner!

This spot has great TV's and the staff are really nice. The bad is that this place is running on promos to bring in business and with that the not so great population of people tend to overtake. I also hate the smoking in this place while I am eating a very expensive burger.

To top that off their T-Shirts which you would think would be cheap to get the spot better advertised are way overpriced at $25. I wish them the best in figuring out which market they want to go after...I am puzzled but wish them well.

    - A gorgeous, 24hr Sports Bar with great grill barfoods! Conveniently located between Montbleu and Harrahs. We liked it so much that we went there twice in 3 days!

    YELPY DETAILS
    - Better Yet: Skip the details, just go there and ENJOY YOURSELF!

My wife and I visit Tahoe often and enjoy our happy hours in various bars. A couple days ago, while walking around town after a movie, we were glad to have stumbled into this lively bar, known for its burgers and various food/drink combos. We had their tasty tender ribs with lettuce ($5), and draft beers ($2), DELICIOUS!

Our waitress (Kaili) was very friendly, helpful and attentive. She told us that besides their famed burgers, they have many other specials, too, e.g., during football games, they offer a $5 "combo of grilled hotdog with tater or fries, AND a draft beer".

This place has a beautiful, spacious LONG BAR, comfortable center island with bar stools, as well as many bar tables along the wall, and sport tv's everywhere. There are also machines at the bar counter for those who like to try their luck with their beer money. There is no outside seating, however. Right behind the entrance is the small kitchen area with glass partitions, where stands by the front window is an attractive rotating grill with food being prepared on it - which was actually what drew us into this nice establishment to begin with. Among us customers were young couples, groups of friends, as well as seniors like us - all having a good time!

Yes, there are numerous great bars along Hwy 50 in S. Tahoe, on both sides of the State Line, but this new 24hr Sports Bar deserves a visit. I won't be surprised that you will like it, too, especially after a movie, a late show, or after a nice stroll around town.

In fact, we went back there for the Sunday night Football, our 2nd time in 3 days. This time we tried their "Combo of Hotdog/Coors Light with Fries OR Taters" for $5. They were delicious as expected. The tater tots were crisp and yummy, although the fries were a bit limp. Our waitress did offer us another order of crispier fries without our asking. This is a GOOD Customer-Satisfaction Practice! We appreciated that. We did not take up her kind offer, however, as we were already quite full with the tasty dogs and yummy taters; more importantly, we needed to save room for another beer.Well, we wound up having 2 more rounds and happily joined in all the cheers and groans over football and baseball!

I really like the atmosphere here. The Staff (including the managers) are all really friendly. When it first opened, on 4th of July 2012, we waited and went in after the holiday was over. The drinks were good, food was very nice (see Ralph T's 7/17/2012 review) and we enjoyed ourselves. Came back another time and sat at the bar and had more good drinks and a fun chat with the bartender. Then they put in gaming machines at the bar. Now we can never get a seat at the bar and most of the gamblers smoke, making the atmosphere uncomfortable for us.

So sorry to say we don't go much anymore. We wanted this to be one of our favorite hangouts, but the gambling ruined it. With the casinos nearby, isn't that enough gambling? We just wanted a nice place to hang, drink and enjoy a good burger and those fantastic tator tots!!

We'll maybe try again during the shoulder season to see if it's not so busy/smokey. But I'm not too optomistic. :-(

This ended up being one of our only options for food after day of drinking and maybe, MAYBE passing out and sleeping through dinner reservations.  (Don't you judge me!!)

I'm sure we could have gone back to American River Cafe, but I'd rather not intentionally eat crap on a stick.  That being said, my expectations were low for a place that keeps open 24 hours.  I must say I was pleasantly surprised!

I had an extremely tasty burger with fresh ingredients and side of delicious, crunchy, golden tots.  Food was hot and fast!  Our server (can't recall her name, sorry) was very friendly and very accommodating, even ran to the kitchen to cancel a salad I had ordered because I realized my eyes were too big for my britches.

When I'm in Tahoe and hungry at 2am, I'm coming here.

I was also told that the grilled cheese and tator tots are to die for. The tator tots were definitley good, I didn't get a chance to try the grilled cheese, though.... maybe next time! :)

Ate here last night.  Still had very attentive service and staff was still very friendly even though the boss wasn't there. That's a good sign.

Built our own Beaver Burger.  With bacon and blue/jack cheese and Cajun tater tots.

The burger was large and my wife and I split it.  It was cooked properly and had great flavors.  The tater tots were wonderful.  Good flavor and there were lots of them.

My wife had a Jack and diet and the drink was a little weak.  She asked for some Jack in the second one and it was stronger.  Lots of ice in a short glass.

The menu is small, but they list this place as a hamburger joint. They do serve breakfast since they are open 24hrs a day.

The atmosphere is great.  Next time we'll sit at the bar.

Let's hope it keeps going strong.

They seem to allow smoking. Not my favorite thing.  We'll see how that goes.
