We stayed last Saturday. Our meal was outstanding. I had the sauteed scallops with oyster mushrooms. Â They were perfect, just lightly browned at the edges, and not overcooked. Â We pasta was cooked perfectly, and didn't feel heavy, as pasta often can. Â Dinner prices were very reasonable, considering the quality of the food. Â I love the vibe of these old hotels, and can put up with walking across the hall to the bathroom for the reasonable price and friendly staff.
Review Source:So the Lyle Hotel ain't the Waldorf but it's not supposed to be. You won't find pretense here but what you'll find instead is the real deal when it comes to hospitality. Maryann (you'll find her photo in the dictionary under "sweet") and Steve are the kind of hosts you dream about. I forgot the security code to get into the hotel twice and Maryann, bless her soul made sure I could get in by helping me thru the process in the wee hours of the morning. It was a lot better than sleeping in my car. I judge a place by how well I sleep, how often I smile and how much love a place rests on. The Lyle's foundation is built on love and the experience is one you'll remember as magical. Go with an open heart and the rest just shows up. I loved this place....and everyone I met in it.
