I ended my first night on Whiskey Row at Lyzzard's and I'm glad I did. Me and the gals sat at the bar, ordered a few drinks and listened to the cover band on stage. I really liked the place, it was a lot bigger then I thought it would be from the outside and not so crowded like I hoped it'd be like some of the other bars we had visited before. The bartender was friendly and very accommodating. He let me sample the mint chocolate stout they had on draft and poured me a sample of the coffee stout to try out too. The prices weren't bad and the decor was fun. Also, any bar that is dog freindly gets an extra star from me!
Review Source:Drink prices were on par for everywhere else in town. Â I don't know why people complain about the prices on the reviews for this city, but less than $5 a drink for non-well booze is dirt cheap. Â
I understand Prescott is a pretty dog friendly town, but bringing your unleashed dog to a bar, then letting it roam in front of and behind the bar is a new experience for me. Â Whatever, I enjoyed my company and they poured cheap drinks ... works for me!
Cool little hole in the wall bar. Just off Whiskey row and more locals than tourists. Good beer selection. Pool tables are in decent shape for a bar. Very friendly service and great prices on everything. A favorite for my wife and I when we are downtown and looking for a cheap drink to relax. Also one of the few places that accepts credit cards as we never have cash.
We love this place.
Our first stop in Prescott on my first road trip with the Fantastic Mr. "It's Complicated." We pulled into town, parked behind the bar and went in for a drink. Before we contemplated where to stay for the night - truly, the first stop.
I was immediately reminded of my last trip  - to see a friend's band play, circa late 1990's. I brought his kid sister with me, used my ID at the front door, gave it to my friend who took it out back to hand to his sister so she could use it to get in. Sorry about the legal violation, guys! But it was a fun night.
And Lyzzard's is still just as cool. Great bartender, huge selection, fair prices. Dog friendly (okay - I am a sucker for that anywhere, even when my dog isn't there...), decent patio for smoking and a good place to hang out. Didn't catch any of the live music this time around, but truly a decent place for mellow day drinking.
We'll return, definitely.
Really enjoyed hanging out here with my wife on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Â The place is dog-friendly -- they even have dog biscuits and a water dish -- and our furry kids had an awesome time being petted by the other friendly patrons. Â Great beer selection, good music, and the staff was extremely accommodating. Â This will be a couple-hour stop for us anytime we're in Prescott.
Review Source:The cool thing about Lyzzard's Lounge is that they support local music. Â It's one of those venues that always has a band booked and they have drink specials every day of the week!!
If you like tequila or imported beers, you'll be in heaven here thanks to their long list of both. Â
The bar is made of wood and stocked with more alcohol than you've ever seen. Â And this place is yet another historic building in Prescott- it was built in 1905.
