Magic Tree Pub & Eatery

This place is pretty cool.  Lots of beers to choose from.  I was not here very long so I am looking forward to going back sooner than later.

Nice if you just want to hang out, drink, and eat a giant pretzel. Would not recommend for the hungry, since food is surprisingly bad, considering the competition in Boardman. I ordered a hard cider marinated chicken breast, which was flavorless and dry, reminding me of leftovers. In short, decent bar atmosphere, inferior food.

Two of us got sick from what we suspect was the beer cheese soup, or at least, that's what we've narrowed it down to. The beer cheese soup was the only thing that the two people both ate.

The portions are small and the food just isn't that great. They have a limited menu, and a great number of the menu items are cheese laden and carb friendly. At least 5 of their entrees were some variant of mac and cheese. Maybe this is their ploy to get people in for the winter months, but it wasn't appealing to many of us. None of us had a remarkable meal, sadly. The beer options were the biggest draw. We might go back in a few months after the kinks have been worked out. We know that this is a new restaurant, so hopefully things can turn around.
