So I first found out about this place years ago and decided to give it a try. First time I actually mistook it for a "family" restaurant during the week and regretted that mistake for many reasons.
The first reason is that before we ever even got in the door my small child and I had to wade through a fog of bikers and cigarette smoke just to get through the door during the week. Ok. I had heard it was for families, I was there and going to go. The service was horrible... I had to wait forever to order and then I had to approach the bar for anything else. I ordered a chicken Philly that was awful, awful, awful waste and my child eventually got chicken nuggets and fries that were the blandest, coldest excuses for food I ever saw. At least the kid's meal was free that day. It's pretty hard to screw up a chicken Philly but screw it up they did and I left there feeling dirty... covered in smoke and stick.
So I gave it another shot as I really try not to jump to conclusions about people or places too quickly. I had already decided it was not a place for children... that much was clear by all the smoking, red-faced bikers lined up outside and at the bar.
I went on a few weekends and wow... this is really where the scummiest of the scum go. It was evidently like heavy metal night, the music was so loud my ears were ringing when I left. It was filled with just skeevy people, bad service with attitude, even worse food and the lowest in patrons.
I know they've tried to make it more "reputable" by having local office parties and business meetings and childhood cancer fundraisers but the fact is the place is just literally grimy and filled with less than upscale people I'd feel safe with alone on Fri night.
The fact is, one can't even run an errand in this shopping center without being overrun by a giant cloud of cigarette smoke if you happen to get caught downwind of the front door. I feel so bad for the restaurant next door which is actually nice but turns into a nightclub after 10pm just by proxy. Sadly, the whole vibe of the place coupled with the cigarette smoke and creepy people sort of drags down the entire shopping center and I would never go to Mainstreet again.
Also... this IS NOT a family place or even an eating place no matter how many ways you slice it. This is a place heavy drinkers go to get drunk and smoke. Period. Maybe I'm being unfair, but I'm just not a bar-person anyway. It evidently is totally functional if what you are looking for is a dark place to drink after leaving Wal Mart.
The best place for wings. Friday's special 25 cent wings is incredible. Definitely do not get the fish and chips, it was horrible frozen fish that was stiff as cardboard and zero taste from no seasoning. The Pama Martini was horrible and not the first time I've had bad cocktails here. Â And also they have a true reputation for a terrible wait staff and extremely slow service.
Review Source:I went here for the first and last time with my Husband. It wasn't that busy so we got a table by the bar. We sat there for 10 minutes and no server came to get our order. So my husband went up to the bar to order our drinks from the bartender. Again no service. The bartender seemed that he was more interested in watching TV and talking sports to another customer then getting drinks. Then I see two fairly attractive young ladies come in and sit at the bar. Instant service! WTF! Finally my husband gets the bartenders attention and asks for a Vodka and Cranberry and a Irish Car Bomb. Well I got my V&C but he was told that they didn't have any Baileys. So he paid for my drink, helped me finish it and we left. !
