My wife and I chose to dine at  Malones this evening. We ordered dinner and a drink. the drink was well served.. The dinner was very good. We have had several good meals here. But this evening the dinner roll that was served with the meal was spotted with green mold !
The wiait person said that the management was upset about the moldy dinner rolls but the management didn't come forward to address our complaint. And to make the matter worse, the wait person became angry with us .
Madison is somewhat limited as far as dining is concerned, so this place is definitely a good option for casual table service dining. The food and menu are OK. They aren't great, you won't be raving about it, but you'll be satisfied. The service has always been wonderful, very friendly and attentive.
Review Source:Stopped in for a drink the other night with some friends as we did our tour of Madison drinking establishments.
The crowd was a little too old for my liking, but the bartender was really friendly and a great guy, and they had a nice selection of beers, which always makes me happy.
A good spot if you just want to have a drink and watch a game without being bothered by a bunch of loud obnoxious idiots.
This place used to be called Lynch & Malone's. Â Now it's just Malone's.
It's a nice little restaurant-bar tucked away at the end of a cul de sac near the center of Madison. Â If you're not intentionally looking for it, you will probably miss their sign pointing down the street. Â F.Y.I. it's very close to St Margaret's church and the back of the green.
The building contains one small room with both a restaurant section and a bar section. Â Their menu contains a good variety of basic comfort foods. Â You can get everything from pasta, seafood, to overstuffed sandwiches. Â I've eaten at the bar, at the booths, and on occasion I've ordered take-out. Â I've never really had any complaints because the food has always been good, reliable, and reasonably priced. Â Also the service has always been prompt and friendly.
