Visited numerous times in Fall of 2012: Best Pretzel Place I've ever been to! Â Beers are awesome too!
Ok, so don't go here for a full meal. Â You go here for beer, and you go here for pretzels! That's it! Â And maybe to catch some nightlife if you are in your 20's-30's :-)
What can I say about the pretzels?  How bout the softest, freshest, not overly chewy, piping hot, most perfectly salted pretzels that you will ever have in your lifetime.  That's what they serve here.  In 3 weeks I tried just about every single one.  Call me a traditionalist, but I still love the original with the homemade stone ground mustard and/or the blue cheese sauce.  Always order blue cheese sauce. Always.  The Jalapeño-Cheddar came in a close second. Â
Beer selection is great too. Â This place is perfect for taking a date at in-between meal times. Â It's not too crowded then, and you can get a snack which is especially handy if you have been day-drinking or it's late night. Â These guys are pretzel gods who do it right. Â They don't complicate their menu, because what they do serve is 5-star.
Although my husband and I are Senior Citizens, we like to go into Malted Barley to
have a cocktail and share a pretzel! Â Colin is AWESOME and we just love him. Â We
met Colin when he worked at Perks & Corks and when he told us of his plans to
open Malted Barley, we had no doubts that he and Stephanie would do well!!!!!
It's a fun and great place, mostly for the young, but it's fun for us to "pop in" every now and
then!!!
Try it, you'll like it!!!!!
