Mama Ginna's

Went there several times during christmas break at my in-laws. Had the chicken gyro, steak and cheese, chicken parmesan, fries, ... All awesome, with really big portions at a really low price. Their $1.50 baklava is really good for the price too and the best of the best is their almond cream cake. It's is INCREDIBLE. European quality dessert no joke. I wish I had tasted it before my last day there. I couldn't believe it.

My Italian family gives this pizza two thumbs up!

We just moved down the street from Mama Ginnas and ordered delivery tonight. There was a good coupon for 2 large one topping pizzas and a 2 liter soda for $19.99.

There was a problem with our order so we had to wait over an hour. But when the pizza arrived it was delicious. The garden salad was decent too. My Italian in-laws are visiting from New York and they agreed that the pizza was great. We'll definitely order from here again.

We first ate there a couple of weeks ago and found food to be reasonably priced and quite tasty. We called that order in, picked  it up about 20 minutes later, drove home and it was still warm. Our second experience did not go as well as hoped. Tried to call in an order when we left home for pickup...about a 15 minute drive. When someone answered, we were put on hold. OK, not that big of a deal...figured they were busy. Well, considering we were over halfway there when someone finally answered, we didn't have to stay on hold long before we were pulling into their parking lot. Again, no biggie. Hung up the phone, walked in to order. Placed an order for 2 subs and 2 fries. Was told it would be a few minutes because there were orders in front of ours. OK, no biggie. I didn't think it would take that long for a couple of subs so, didn't have a problem with a short wait. After a 25 minute wait, was told by the gentleman taking the orders it was still not ready and would be a few more minutes. OK, now we are starting to have a problem. Waited another 8 minutes, before leaving and heading to another Italian takeout which is actually closer to our home in Stokesdale. Bottom line I guess, call well before (30 minutes or more) you want the order to be ready. I am sure they are busier on the weekends than during the week but, in my humble opinion, it doesn't matter if you have the most incredible food in the world at the most incredible prices, not many people are going to wait over 30 minutes for a couple of subs.
