This place has the best bbq in Kentucky. Â I have eaten at many bbq joints and this one is the best. Â I had the pulled pork. Â It was moist with a great smoke flavor. Â The hot bbq sauce is about the best that I've had in Kentucky. Â I also had the green beans and the fried potatoes. Â They were excellent, just like my mother and grandmother used to cook. Â Three of us ate for under $25. Â They don't take credit cards. Â That is the only drawback to this great restaurant.
Review Source:Great hole-in-the-wall place with amazing and affordable food. Â We stumbled on it during vacation after our first choice, a bbq joint down the street, had been closed due to a fire. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (although they didn't know the difference between prime rib and spare ribs). Service was quick and the best southern food we've had him a long time!
Review Source:I ate here while on vacation and am glad this place is not near my house because I would not be able to drive by this place and not stop in! Â The prices are more than reasonable. Â The waitress was really sweet and patiently answered my questions about what in the world chess pie was (it is really tasty!). Â
All the food I had was good but I have to say the highlight for me was the cornbread. Â They cook it on the griddle and I had never had it that way before. Â I have no idea why everyone isn't doing this - it tastes so much better! Â
If I had more time in the area I would have loved to come back. Â There was a baked potato on the menu that had pulled pork listed as a topping. Â I saw one being brought out to another table and it looked really good!
