    Horrid food.

You pay fresh prices for stuff coming off the restaurant delivery truck freezer or canned section.  The veggie burger turned my stomach, and the fries were limp. Buddy had the hamburger and it was pretty low grade as well.

Everything comes pre-dressed, so you don't even get it your way.

I'm sure it  would taste good after a week in the backcountry, but unfortunately this was our last dinner going in.

We did have better luck at some of the other restaurants on the same road.

Left work, heading for Winthrop, realized we hadn't eaten yet.
Saw the Good Food Sign out and thought, eek, so drove down the road and the prices where even higher and it was quite a bit more money.  So back to to the Good Food sign.   I ordered Fish and Chips and Hubby Ordered a Bacon Burger and a Large Pepsi.  The food was okay, as my husband says, It'll push a turd. :)

so good.  perfect after spending some time out in nature.  pricey, but tasty.  big portions to satisfy that inner "wild" hunger you developed from being away from urbanization.

Road food deluxe. The deluxe burger is 1/3 lb. stacked with fresh lettuce, red onion, tomato, pickle, and a good "secret sauce" wraped in paper. Onion rings are quite good. On a sunny summer afternoon, sit at one of the picnic tables in the backyard and walk down to the river and have look.

Was on our way back from a kayak camping trip in the North Cascades, and was soooo hungry (trail mix and Clif Bars were getting REALLY old). There wasn't much on Route 20, but we passed by this place and didn't have high expectations. It's very modest looking on the outside.

The food here definitely hit the spot! Yes, it's greasy and not the healthiest stuff, but that's why you're here, right? Popcorn shrimp was crunchy and yummy, mozzarella sticks were crispy and not dry or greasy...

But the main reason why they get 5 stars is their BLUEBERRY SHAKE. I don't know how they make this, but it sure as hell is the BEST damn shake I've had in my life. Fresh, yummy, and super berry-licious. Perfect consistency & sweetness. Their sign says "Limited time only", so order this ASAP!

There's a really nice backyard with picnic tables, badminton net (I know-- random), and a bunch of cool plants around.

Oh, and their orange tabby Raven is the sweetest cat, though he did try to jump me for my shrimp :)

Stopped in with a couple friends after a hike and had some excellent burgers.  They are kind of pricey, but they are HUGE and were very good.  The shakes are quite good and the fries were better than average.

The restaurant itself is really cool.  They have a great porch and backyard with picnic tables - perfect for a warm summer evening.

When they called it, "Good Food" they meant it.  This place is Good, not Great.  Its a family restaurant, so there is something sweet about brothers and sisters deep frying frozen fries, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks.  The shakes are Good too.  They come in about 30 different flavors.

We have passed by the "Good Food" sign a number of times and decided that we were going to stop and see if they really did have good food.

It was old fashioned looking inside and the staff was nice.

We were surprised to see that hamburgers were $7 and up!!!  No fries come with it either, just your hamburger.  For 2 adults and one kid, we spent $30!  That is a lot for drive in hamburgers.

We waited for about 15 minutes in the nice garden outside.  No drinks or anything came out during that time.  When the food was brought out, the fries were cold and the hamburgers were practically dripping in mustard.  Maybe all that mustard was to make up for the extremely dry hamburgers.  After a few bites, I threw mine out.

If you are going to charge $7 for a hamburger, you expect it to live up to the price but we found it was below mediocre.  The chocolate milkshake was good but pretty standard.  My husbands soda wasn't good either, how can you mess up Dr Pepper?  We were pretty disappointed.
