This is the place where we go for subs and good Italian dishes. Portions are large and can be shared between two people easily. Staff is great! Prices are a little more than Tonys down the street, but are well worth it. Only bad thing is they are not open on Sundays, but we will survive.
Review Source:Marco's is a no frills restaurant with a pleasant staff located in a small strip mall. By no frills I mean they give you paper plates on which to share your pizza and the salad dressing comes in a foil packet. http://www.yelp.com/biz_… Oh and if memory serves me right, they don't serve alcohol.
I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce, which was served with a salad and garlic bread. http://www.yelp.com/biz_… The garlic bread was great. I would have liked some more depth to the meat sauce, it was fine, but could have used a few more herbs and spices. My noodles were a bit overdone for my taste and weren't drained well enough. But in the end, it fit my need for spaghetti and meat sauce, the portion was huge, and I ate my leftovers the next day.
I'm giving Marco's 3 stars because the staff was friendly, the garlic bread was garlicy, and my friend loved her pizza. Friends and I stopped here because it was across the street from our hotel. My friends were running the JFK 50 miler the next day and needed some carbs. If I were back in the area, I'd go back for the bread, to try the pizza, and to support a local restaurant.
