My family and in laws went to have dinner there and after 30 min no waitress had come to take our drink order let alone our food order. When we went to leave there were 3 waitresses standing in the bar not doing anything but chatting. On the way out my wife said something to them about the lack of service and they said they did not even know we were back in the restaurant even though a waitress came back 3 times to take orders and serve food and ignored us when we tried to get her attention....never did get to eat there so I cannot comment on the food so as far a service is concerned I give it a 0
Review Source:We often eat dinner at the Mark and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Â But we rarely eat the Mexican food other than an occasional taco! Â We keep coming back for the shrimp, chicken and even steak. Â The Mark doesn't even come close to the best Mexican in town but there is still good food to be had there.
Review Source:My stepmother and I came here because we both wanted something different and they had a wide array of food on the menu to choose from and the reviews on yelp were good. I went in wanting a burger and wound up getting (forgive me for forgetting the actual name) a burger that had guac, sour cream, lettuce, tomato it was like a taco almost and it was delicious!!! My mom ordered Mexican and she loved it. Also we happened to go in on when the special was half-priced margaritas which didn't hurt either! The place all and all is nice and the menu is not big but offers a wide variety of options.
Review Source:We were on a roll today trying places that we had not been to in years. Â Lunch was a success. Â This time for dinner we went to the Mark III Grille for the 1st time in 15 years. Â It will be at least 15 years before we return. Â
This place is known by many of the locals here as the best Mexican food around. Â Oh, those poor people that think this is good Mexican food. Â
After being seated in this very busy restaurant, we were greeted about 5 minutes later by our server who took our drink order. Â It was another 5 minutes before she returned with the drinks. Â The server was polite and was able to keep up with our large appetite for fountain Diet Pepsi. Â She also delivered some chips and salsa to our table. Â The chips were a white corn tortilla type. Â There were two types of salsa, one tasted like ketchup and the other tasted like Pace Picante Sauce out of a jar. Â Both were served in little tiny plastic cups.
We ordered an appetizer of White Queso Dip ($3.99). Â It was the only redeeming thing about the food we had. Â It was thick, creamy and absolutely delicious. Â Served in a tortilla shell. Â
For the main course, my wife and I split an order of tacos - two beef and one chicken ($8.29) and I ordered an ala carte steak taco ($3.99) Â to go along with them. Â I found it strange that the server asked how I wanted the steak on my taco cooked. Â I asked for medium, I did not know what the right answer was for tacos. Â
The food did not take long to arrive at our table, maybe 20 minutes. Â I started with my steak taco. Â As soon as I picked it up, the dry corn tortilla split down the bottom and the contents spilled onto my plate. Â The tortilla was so dry that it was hard to swallow. Â The steak was dry and overcooked with no seasoning. Â After that I picked up one of the beef tacos...same results, split down the bottom. Â This place needs to learn how to prepare a corn tortilla for a taco. Â The ground beef in this taco was bland with little flavor to it. Â The refried beans on the plate were good but the Mexican rice was just not good. Â I am not sure what flavor it was, almost too much of a tomato flavor. Â
Even as I write this review I feel this meal sitting like a lump in my stomach. Â Ugh.
Just had the beef and refried beans chimichanga. There doesn't seem to be any beans in there and the whole thing is covered in some kind of gelatinous gravy. I don't think the beef has been seasoned at all. My friend got carne asada which was served as a tough, cheap steak on a plate next to some guacamole and rice. I tried the steak and it was absolutely bland, obviously not even marinaded. I assume that the cooks here have never heard of cumin. This is the absolute worst Tex Mex food I've ever had, let alone trying to call it Mexican. The tortilla chips they gave us were tossed in chili powder for crying out loud. Is that supposed to make them more authentic? What a joke.
I wish I didn't come here.
