This place really hit the spot after spending the weekend backpacking in Shenandoah! Eating dehydrated food for every meal for two days can get old fast. I had seen a sign for Marshall Diner on the drive up I-66 and it was in the back of my mind all weekend. We stopped in and it was crowded so we parked in the back. I ordered the Eggs Marshall (like eggs benedict but with smoked salmon instead of ham). My husband ordered a large breakfast platter with all the fixins and loved it. The food was good, service was fast and friendly, and the price was right. We just might have to make stopping here on the way home from the mountains a new tradition!
Review Source:Probably not a bad place overall but my 1st impressions were kinda on the low rent divey side.
I stopped in for an egg sandwich since it's a quick and easy on and off I-66.
I got a fried egg sandwich on whole wheat toast. It was OK, nothing too special but adequate for a quick meal on the go.
Better than a MacDriveby
Wife and I stopped here today while out riding on the MC. Â She ordered the French Toast with two eggs and NO meat. Â She stated it twice and the lady repeated it back. Â Guess what showed up, smaller portion of FT and bacon AND sausage. Â Normally this wouldn't be an issue but the bacon and sausage here is anything but good. Â I ordered the pecan Waffle with bacon. Â Asked for the bacon to be crispy. Â It wasn't. Â It was limp and extremely greasy. Â I'm hesitant to send food back as the idea of it being adulterated always crosses my mind. Â I just won't go back here.
