Major upgrade to this place! The cosmic is actually exciting and the music is just as good. The staff is always friendly and automatic bumpers take away the embarrassment of being over 20 and still needing them. Their sat. night deal is a bargain at $15 for unlimited bowling. I would definitely go time and time again.
Review Source:I have to say this bowling alley reminds me of the old-school alleys when I was a kid. Â It may not be like the more trendy ones popping up but that's what i like about it. Â The staff is always friendly and helpful and it's a nice, relaxed neighborhood place that is not pretentious. Yeah, it has some grit and could use some new carpet and maybe newer shoes but at least they have computerized scoring! Â
They must be doing something right to be around so long with the likes of Dave & Busters popping up. Â Definitely a good place to just hang with friends without huge crowds and the pricing is reasonable.
Well, folks, I can't really believe that this bowling alley gets 5 stars from the other two reviewers.  It's not the cleanest place, nor is it the best value for your entertainment dollar: at least it wasn't last Sunday.  My wife and I had a "Living Social" coupon for two hours of bowling, so we figured it had to be ok, or else this deal would not have been offered.  First impressions weren't the best : a sort of unsavory-type was hanging out in the parking area - unusual for Massapequa - and they say Hempstead is bad - this was right up there in scary and it made us hesitate to get out of the car.  The parking lot is unswept, rocky, and messy. Upon entering, we found half of the alley closed (understandable if business is slow on a particular day). The ladie's room door had a big sign on it that it was closed - women have to hoof it up a flight of stairs to the employee's bathroom, which had a filthy tile floor and was loaded with cans of paint, spackle and what-have-you - gross, to say the least.  The man at the counter told us right away that the snack bar was closed - too bad if you planned on having a hot dog for lunch.  We were assigned a lane at which the computer was giving us all sorts of extra points in our scores - not that we didn't need help, but we did want accuracy.  What if this was a competitive league game?  He switched us to another lane - right next to a family of four little kids. Oh, joy.  They were the biggest pains in the arse, but then again, that's not the bowling alley's fault - it was just fate.  When you sit at your lane, there are some seemingly nice couches to sit on, rather than the standard table and attached swivel chairs.  The couches are  red leather-like seating, but have cloth arms..... raggedy cloth, at that.... and quite dirty.  The couches need cleaning and Febreze, for sure.  Grandma would put a doily on the arms to cover that mess up.  I couldn't wait to wash my hands.  Oh, and the house balls are old.  Real old.  Bring your own...  or stay home...  or go for a drive and bowl in Rockville Centre - Maple Lanes is a 5 star joint.
