Rock solid average. If you know what to get, it could be much better than that.
Was here for dinner. Service started slow due to a large rehearsal dinner that just arrived but after that I would say it was pretty good.
Bruschetta app was very tasty. Not sure if I saw it on the menu but friend ordered it, apparently familiar with the place. Fresh tomatoes, nice basil, great flavor. Get this.
Wife had the caesar salad, decent but there were large pieces of old lettuce. Don't get. Or get if you see others get it and the lettuce quality is better.
Soup available with dinner was the Tuscan bean clam chowder. Delicious, generous amount of clams, great broth (could use a dash more salt). Get this.
I had the scalloppine marsala. Also delicious. Lots of big mushrooms, good veal, great marsala sauce. Odd bunch of spinach just thrown on the side but hey, I ate it. Get this.
Wife had the chicken parm which I sampled. Chicken piece I had was dry if you can believe that. Don't get this.
No desserts. I wasn't paying and too full anyway. So, the place definitely has potential but the worst offender I think was the salad. I mean, seriously, big visible pieces of brown lettuce. Otherwise, they definitely have some tasty and good dishes worth trying if you're around.
I would like for it to fall right into the 3.5 star award... better than I expected as I pulled across traffic on a busy weekend into the parking lot... View is lovely; staff are lovely... I just want the food to get out of the Olive Garden mode and kick it up a notch. Â I will give it another try, soon.
I did enjoy the side salad and house vinaigrette and the olive oil dipping sauce has a polite kick.
Tried the lunch menu for a business meeting. Â Outstanding food and service. Â The atmosphere is one of the best in the Harbor. Â
My wife and I ate dinner this evening. Â Service was outstanding and the food totally delicious. Â My wife said the lasagna was the best she has every had. Â Recommend Massimo's to anyone...price was nominal.
