Blue Agave Mexican Grill & Tequila Bar

This place can learn something from Chipotle or Taco del Mar. We really wanted to like this place and have a decent burrito spot in GH, head to Moctezuma's across the street instead.  When we got there, there was only a couple and a young lady in line before us. They must have just gotten slammed for a lunch rush, but the place was quieter now.  Since there was only 3 people before us, we were surprised at how long it was taking to take our order.  

We could see that the food on the assembly side didn't look fresh and the prep area looked dirty and splattered.  The employees and manger need to realize that customers can easily see behind the counter and see the cleanliness of the kitchen.  At least the employees were friendly. And they do melt cheese over the burrito in a salamander-oven, nice touch.

The worst part was the checkout.  The girl may have been new, so perhaps I should give some leeway. After paying, she said to go have a seat and that they would run the food out to us since the plates were hot (just out of the salamander-oven). We sat at a nearby table...just to watch a couple of ladies pay for their order after us, while our food was sitting right on the counter between them and the cashier. After they payed, the girl picked up their food to deliver to the ladies' table, whom ordered after us. At that point, i walked up and grabbed the hot burrito plate myself, yes it was hot but I was hungry.

After starting to eat the burrito,the rice was bitter and the chicken was flavorless. We wanted to go back in time 15 mins and go somewhere else instead. On top of that, a burrito spot should have good chips. 2 stars b/c the location/ambience was good and employees weren't rude. But they also had UFC on TV...really, UFC at a family spot? I sometimes watch UFC for the entertainment, but Not while eating.

This place is great!  Haven't tried much of the food but they have a great tequila selection.  The manager Edgar is from Mexico and really enjoys sharing details with you about the origin of the tequilas.  Check it out and enjoy!  Salúd!

Staff is extremely rude.  Ordering is confusing. Meat was chewy. Atmosphere was loud. If I want to take my girlfriends out I want to go somewhere pleasant.  And my past two experiences just weren't.  I'm done.
