I must say that each of the three times I have been to the Unicorn it was unique. Â All three times were at night. Â There was a DJ blasting out top 40 hits. Â However, it must be said that the Unicorn is in a residential area. Â Thusly, there are limits to the bass level of the music played. Â The result is what it sounds like in a 1980s Honda Civic with one speaker at full blast. Â
I came for the beer but I stayed for the plus size bachelorette party in booty shorts. Â A Saturday night can generate a diverse, strange crowd that can't help but put a smile on your face. Â Decent beer and great people watching!
This review is for the service that was provided by this establishment. Â An experience to sample their food and drink was denied to us by the bartender of the establishment. Â The bartender, reasonably so, requested validation of our age by verifying our government/state identification. Â However, this bartender, vehemently stated that the ID of one of our party was fake. Â After waiting for a police officer to validate the ID, the bartender was dismissive, defensive and rude regarding the situation. Â Additionally, she had the gall to double check our IDs, for a party of 8+, for a second time. Â An establishment is only as good as the employees that represent it, and unfortunately this is a very poor establishment. Â I rarely award one star reviews, so I would highly suggest taking one's business elsewhere, where customer service is actually practiced.
