The Mix

It's small and sometimes crowded, but usually fun. The drinks are good and you'll not be bothered by rednecks or bigots here.

I've been coming here as long as they've been open, give or take a few months. There's something for everyone here; Karaoke half the week, and much less intimidating than other venues in the ares. Um, just basically the best venue in the area. It's awesome.

The Mix is a gay bar but with so many straight couples here it really might live up to the namesake of being mixed. It is good to see everyone gets along well!
On a weeknight the bar would be fine and spacious but on a Saturday night it is jammed packed and difficult to move around. Very difficult!
There is no dance floor and they were playing karaoke there on the lower level. Not quirky enough like the big city bars for me to get into too much. On a busy night here it seems like you have to be a doer and not a observer(people watcher) or else you are in the way of others.
Overall not all that impressed. I might like weeknights better, we will see.
