Harmon Brewing Co & Restaurant

I had the shrimp and tuna wraps. Was expecting it in a flour type wrap but it was far better, it was in lettuce. More of a salad, actually.

The lunch beer special is also very reasonable. And their own brew (the American Ale) was outstanding.

Right across from the State History Museum ... a fun and inexpensive afternoon.

Harmon is great for Burgers, Pizza, and Beer and all day Happy Hr on Sunday.  Stick with that on the menu and you will not be disappointed.  Little short on servers on weekends, but, staff is great.

Had a great coupon, so we headed back to the Harmon. It's a super bargain on Mondays, even without Living Social or Groupon, with the Happy Hour menu featuring great, cheap choices and Harmon brewskis at $3 a pop.

Faithful companion had the Caesar's and Calamari from the Happy Hour menu. I had a French Dip with a side salad. We each had one of the Harmon Porters. If you like dark beers, it's a nice option.

Server was friendly, well-informed, efficient, and energetic. Best service we have had there.

My only whine was the French Dip. There must have been a beef shortage here in Ecotopia, because although the bread was perfect and the dipping sauce tasty, I had to put out an APB in order to find the beef. What I found was perfect: they blend in cheddar and horseradish. Just wanted more of it.

Visitors before 6 should watch out, as the Tacoma Confiscatory Parking Fees are in effect. In general, parking is tough unless you go across to the Museum parking lot and give up your first-born child. We suggest parking at Freighthouse Square near the Tacoma Dome and taking the cute little light-rail line back to the Harmon.
