On a road trip back to Atlanta, we stopped at the McDonald's in Richmond Hill (I-95 exit 90). Â My two-cheeseburger combo meal fed me so well that I started getting sleepy on the road. Â Really sleepy. Â Food coma sleepy.
I had no choice but to pull over at the next exit where we found, yes, another McDonald's. Â This time we'd reached the city of Metter (I-16, exit 104). Â Two McDonald's in one road trip = new record for me.
This standalone McDonald's was mostly empty on a Sunday afternoon. Â The cashier said loud and clearly, with an ear-to-ear grin on her face, "Hello! Welcome to McDonald's!" to every customer who walked through the doors. Â She and the staff were getting a kick out of it.
We ordered two medium McCafe Frappes (iced coffee drinks), one caramel flavored and one mocha flavored. Â $6.00 ($3.00 each) + $0.48 tax = $6.48 total bill. Â Those babies were delicious and hit the spot. Â I prefer the caramel flavor. Â The caffeinated concoctions are topped with whipped cream and sweet syrup. Â The drinks were smooth, creamy, and flavorful. Â They were above average sweet compared to other McCafe Frappes I've had. Â The drinks were so cold and icy that towards the end, they started becoming iced slushies (difficult to sip with a straw).
The store was clean and the staff was polite and efficient.
A McCafe logo is painted on the asphalt in the parking lot. Â Ba da ba ba ba! Â I'm lovin' it!
The best McDonald I have ever been to. Â When I walked in 3 different employees said "welcome to McDonalds". Â She. I order the person at the registers asked me how I was going and engaged me in conversation. Â She also offer advice on how to save a little money. Â I was totally blown away at for friendly, polite and efficient they staff was during my visit. Â I have been back a few other time and had the same experience. Â I commend the manager, you have done an outstanding job motivating your employees. Â Off the same exit I had a horrible experience at KFC. Â They defiantly need to take a lesson from your operation.
Review Source:This location could and should school the majority of other McDonald's locations. Â Being that I personally like road trips (depending on time, of course!) I know fast food establishments right off the highway or in this case, I-16. Â The bathrooms here are always clean and the employees are fast and friendly. Â Not only that, they've NEVER messed up my order. Â HOLLA! Â I know, all you yelpers claim to hate fast food but guess what? Â McDonald's builds new restaurants almost daily. Â So someone is eating it! Â Now, I certainly don't dine at the Golden Arches daily but I do sometimes on road trips. Â
I prefer the angus burger with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onions. Â It is yummy! Â Now, I'm not a big fan of McDonald's dollar menu. Â You might as well order the angus because you will not be full with their little burgers. Â Yes, Mickey D's, where is the beef? Â I guess I should mention that I'm the person that throws the buns away and just makes one larger burger from the dollar menu.
At any rate, this Mickey D's is awesome! Â Then again, this location is in Metter, GA. Â For those of you that don't know, Everything is Better in Metter!
