From what I heard by all the waitresses and cab drivers, this place is the cat's meow in Owensboro. Â I was a little let down. Â They advertise this place as an Irish Pub, great, I love Irish pubs, but upon getting there It looked like any other dive bar I've been to. I mean, the Irish theme was to be wanting...and that is saying it nicely. Â They only thing Irish was the name...and maybe one picture helped the Irish theme a little.
The music was way too loud. Â Again when you advertise as a Pub and not a disco-tech. I assume that I will be able to have a conversation with the person next to me without yelling. Â Another thing was the smoke....this place was smoky, good if you are a smoker, and going to a pub I'm willing to take that risk, but have some ventilation. I shower and put cologne on so I smell good. Â If, after two minutes of walking and I smell like an ash tray, why bother? Â Lastly, the service was slow. Â They are under staffed at the bar, Â I waited about 20 minutes before my order was taken. Â A few people who grab a spot at the bar next to me, moved down the bar to get helped.
A little better staffed, turn down the music and figure out the ventilation and I can move you up on my rating.
