McIntyre's is a great venue, period. Â Whether you're going to watch a sporting event, see a little live music, or just hang out for a few drinks and a snack, it's probably the best place in town to do so, even if it doesn't look like it from the outside. Â
When you pull into the gigantic parking lot of the somewhat hidden strip mall in which it's housed, you might be forgiven for thinking you are in the wrong place. Â Enter through the aluminum framed, glass door that looks like it would be more at home at the entrance to a convenience store, and you are met with a considerably larger space than expected. Â In the front room, there are pool tables, a ton of televisions, booths, and one of the largest bars I've ever laid eyes on outside of a resort. Â Make your way through to the back room, a sizeable but still cozy space, and that's where the music happens. Â
It's not luxurious, but it isn't exactly divey, either. Â They offer a wide selection of draft beer, some tasty bar food, and a diverse crowd to socialize with (if you go in for that kind of thing). Â Unlike a lot of places this size, I have yet to ever see anyone start any static here. Â It has a surprisingly chill vibe, considering all the meathead-types that tend to flock to this region during the summer season. Â Definitely a cool place to hang out.
Went for a couple of drinks and ESPN. The bar is huge, that's a big plus. The food looked good, but I wasn't hungry. The beers weren't expensive at all. There were TVs all over the place, they had music on, but it was intermingled with hip-hop. Why why why? Nevertheless I had a good time and may return soon.
Review Source:Never ate more than apps here but often go to drink some cheap beer and check out bands in the back room. The place is pretty big and has 2 separate bar areas, the back room is smaller and usually has a band, front room has tons of tvs and does stuff like bar trivia that really packs the place. Great place to grab a few beers and chill on the cheap without dealing with guidos or annoying girls. The place is usually a chill crowd leaning toward the older end of 25-40
Review Source:Mr review is based on the drinking/hanging out aspect of this place, not the food-i've only had one thing their (the tuna bites, and they were alright)
Always have a good time here. Â The service is good, the crowds decent, theirs a pool table and darts, and usually a band at night in the back room-which I didn't even know existed my first couple of times their. Â It's a decent sized place, it just has the strangest location. Â The shopping center it is in just boggles my mind with its variety.
Its a good place to go with a couple of friends for just a couple drinks or to get pretty buzzed up.
This little place is in a whole in the wall, in a strip mall, near K-Mart, on the way to Seaside.....need I say more? yes, I do.....
My husband and I had been there before, not a hang out of ours, but a drink some appetizers, it was ok.
Then we went to see this band,(ILLEGAL MOTION),
We had a blast. If the old man didn't have to work the next morning we would have stayed til closing.
You would think it's small, but it has 2 rooms. Bar and billiards in the front and bar and band in the back. The food is the usual bar food, nothing grand. Not bad. The bar is the usual Jersey shore joint atmosphere. A lot of locals, but a good night out.
Like I said, we went to see this band and had a great night out, which we don't do that often. The band, Illegal Motion, rocked big time.
If you think hangin on the boardwalk is fun to people watch, try this place. You will have a blast. Guys and ladies rockin so hard, not a care in the world, for that moment any way. Wait til morning.
Were going back tonight to see the band again. Will comment more later if there is anything to comment on.
five stars for a Good time to go to see this band!
This was our second time at McIntyre's Pub, recently, to see the band ILLEGAL MOTION. FIVE TALENTED MUSICIANS AT THE JERSEY SHORE
BETTER THEN THE FIRST!!!!!!!
This band ROCKS THE HOUSE!
Every single song is a winner, and so is lead singer Sal DeBernardo. They do songs from local Jersey boy, BonJovi, to Finger Eleven, Ozzi, Guns n Roses, U2, and so much more!
A ROCK AND ROLL PARTY SO GOOD...IT'S CRIMINAL... this is the bands clever motto.
Sal really does these songs justice and so does THE BAND.
Good time's had by all.
The band is wireless, instruments, mic's, and they walk around and get everyone pumped. The ladies, I must say, LOVE THIS. Dancing, singing, Â A ROCKIN good ole time.
This time my husband didn't have to get up for work the next morning, and much to my surprise they even got him dancing, singing and having a blast. We even closed the bar with the band. This is a big plus in MY book!
In my opinion, Â A MUST SEE BAND!
Can't wait til the next gig.
KEEP ROCKIN GUYS.......
