Melissa's Cottage Cafe

Visiting relatives in Versailles. I am a bit of a food snob, this place was just great. Cute atmosphere, great southern menu, extremely reasonable prices and best desert menu of homemade items I have seen in some time. This is not a place for black tie, but I will go here again and again while in Versailes. Our whole meal for 3 adults and 2 kids and some beer and a desert and tax and tip was $44. And the food was great. Hard to beat that.

This place was okay. The food was definitely not amazing, but it also was not the worst I have ever had. The booth We sat in was right next to the ice maker which made things pretty annoying, but the service was good.

I think it is all about the atmosphere as far as the four stars because the food is just so-so. Although my sweet girl LOVED her meatloaf. I had the hot brown and I did like it. My boy had the chicken pot pie and he just thought Meh... The true gem is the PEANUT BUTTER PIE!!!! OMGosh! That is not to miss! YUM!
