The Milepost Burger is awesome and I love that they use local cheese, good local meat, and buns from a bakery nearby. For the price of a standard burger at Applebes or Red Robin, you actually get something high-quality and fresh. The beer selection is the best I have found in the region.

There are few *great* dining options between Wenatchee and Seattle, and boy does Milepost know it.

    1) The prices are exorbitant. Expect to pay $14 for burger / fries for the same quality you could get at a decent diner. Pints start at $5, which is fine, but it would be nice if they had happy hour specials.

    2) The service is mediocre. Our waitress was slow and absent-minded. Milepost has a great beer selection but we never received a beer menu and we were thirsty so we just picked a couple random beers.

    3) The ambiance has a nice local flavor and pleasantly distracts from the brown, barren mountains around it.

So it turns out Milepost charges more than it should for a mediocre experience. Still, it's paradise compared to Leavenworth with all its faux-Bavarian bullcrap. Keep driving.

Our river rafting tour guide recommended this place and since we are a fan of breweries we thought we would try it out.  They have a nice deck overlooking the river but it was so hot out we sat inside (which is open-air so there is no A/C). I tried the American Blonde and their Huckleberry lager and they were both good.  I would recommend their gorgonzola burger, it was very good.  My husband got the salmon fish and chips but he didn't care for the breading they used and it tasted burnt.  Our fries looked and tasted burnt as well but maybe they just needed to change their oil in their fryers.  It also took a long time to get our food. They were busy but people around us who were seated with us got their food way before us.  I am not sure if we would go there again...maybe for just a beer and appetizer.

I thought that  waiting a day to review our latest visit would help but it didn't. It was horrible! First we sat in the new deck out on the Wenatchee river. Note to Ownership/MGT. This is NCW, Get water misters or you will never have anybody on the deck. Also, They make electronics now that can transmit a bar or dinner order to the restaurant instead of having the staff walking 30 to 40 yards each way. Heck a can and string would be an improvement. The appetizers we ordered for everyone took over 45 mins/Hr to get except mine which was just a shrimp cocktail and they had to thaw from the freezer and nuke it, and the owner had the gall to tell me that everyone in my party ate their appetizers and they had to cook mine. REALLY?. Never had a bland hot shrimp in a shrimp cocktail before. Was very untasteful.Could not get bar orders in any time, had to go straight to the bar to get drinks. The owner told me that after 7 months in business that they hadn't gotten the kinks out. Really? I don't fault our wait person, obviously the place needs a mgt change. If the owners cannot do that they should bring someone in who can. Oh one last thing, Whats up with the spray cheese on the nacho's? They make cheese in its natural state now and it melts.

Well,  Been to dinner there three times.  each time a little frustrated,, for a brew pub and in the area seems like a very limited menu and very over priced.  Looked to see what the cheapest was and it was a ciabatta sandwich at $10.    The waitress, Who finally came to us after a long wait said..."Oh, I didn't  know I was supposed to wait on you".

I asked for a beer menu,,,she kinda looked around and found one...But to me it looked like it had been used as a place mat.....Food soiled, beer soiled,,,,And then she said...It isn't really up to date but it's the best we have.......

As there was two of us I asked for another onhe....That was a mistake, seemed like I had asked for the moon.

After she found the second beer selection  she told us the specials....Didn't mention the price.

I ended up with the $18 steak and oysters.........Steak  Hmmmm...might have been a five ounce  optimistically.......And on the tough and not that tender side.......Oysters....Well, thank god there is a "plural" in oysters   as there was "two" oysters.

Then the mistake was made...What accompanies that....HMmmm french fries....

So,, A small below average steak....Two small oysters.....and french fries...$18...I kept waiting and listening for planes to land...I thought I was in some airport restaurant.

Burgers were on the menu and they seemed to have a wide selection.....But...What the heck can you do different to a burger.......Put dark seeds on the bun?? Use garlic aeoli instead of mayo??  Tell us the cows are all happy when we kill em??

Price and portion are two big issues with me...Followed second by selection and variety of menu.

My new thoughts to make dinner work at this place was to do some appetizers  and the beer "flight" samplers. then go next door to Country boys and get a good meal with ample portions.

Now, granted,,,there lunch seems better and more fitting of the place...Most lunch's are $8   more food  $10 less per meal.....

GOURMET FOOD IN A BREW PUB?  YOU BETCHA!
We have been to the Milepost 5 times now and have never been disappointed.  Tonight I tried their Smokejumper wings.  Best wings I have ever had.  (6.95)  I also had the crab and shrimp bisque (3.95).  Full of seafood, not overly heavy with cream but great flavor.  My all time favorite is the brisket burger with truffle fries.
Milepost has breakfast on weekends and if you go, you must try the cheesy biscuit covered with sausage gravy.

I grew up in Cashmere but live in Seattle now and visit friends and family often.  I've seen many restaurants come and go with little character or lasting presence in this small seasonal community.  I had lunch at Milepost 111 today with my mom and I was really impressed!  I love the atmosphere and I was so excited to see more than one vegetarian option!  I instantly wanted a beer when I walked in, but since it was lunch and I was headed back to Seattle soon I refrained.  Had I been staying longer I would have ordered from their impressive draft selections!  They even had a pear cider on draft!
I will definitely be back and I will suggest it to anyone unfamiliar with Cashmere or longtime locals.  Great job!  And welcome...please stay!!!

Although there isn't a milepost brew at this time, the selection that is available is great for this area.  Small but yummy menu and friendly staff.

My husband and I are so thankful that this place opened up in Cashmere! The food is a little pricier than other places in Cashmere, but that's only because so much care is given to the food.  The owner and head chef are almost always there ready to chat with you and make sure you're having the best experience possible.  If you're in Cashmere, or even just passing by, you should stop in. It's right off the highway, and come spring/summer they have a big deck that sits out over the river.  Haven't tried their brew yet, but judging by the rest of our experiences at Milepost, I'm very hopeful!
