Mill 109 Restaurant & Pub

Wow! We were aware of the inconsistent reviews, but needed to eat between Ocean Shores and Moclips.  Decided to give it a try, I mean it is in "Seabrook," lol.  We were barely in the door when we were ambushed by one of the gals (who later appeared to be a manager or shift manager), that told us that they only had their happy hour menu available because they had a "wedding," to do.  There certainly should have been a notice  outside that notified customers of this as they turned away many that weren't willing to only have a happy hour menu. After asking our server what exactly were the pork bites, she responded that nobody had ever ordered them and she didn't know what they were, WHAT?  The head server then approached our table and explained what they were and we then decided to order them off the HH menu, which is the the smallest HH menu, I think I have ever seen.  If you only want fried or are happy with the chicken or pork, it might work.  We were "allowed," to order a caesar salad, but were told we couldn't add chicken to it (must have been because of the wedding?).  The food was adequate, but nothing special and we were hungry. The  wait staff left so much to be desired, from being inexperienced and bored, to "I'd rather not be here," attitude. I guess we expected more than we got.  The customer service was so insincere and confusing as we had 3 people waiting on us, even though it wasn't busy.  When the servers weren't waiting on the customers 2 of them were on their phones texting in plain sight.  Then as we were eating there was a clearly intoxicated customer (that was being served as such) sitting at the bar (which is right in front of the kitchen) and he reached over and grabbed what appeared to be tonic or soda water and sprayed the servers in the kitchen.  Instead of escorting him out at that point they talked about it and then cleaned the glassware that he had sprayed up and after several minutes in front of the customers, the "head," server told him to leave.  All in all, the image in which Seabrook  markets themselves as, our experience at their restaurant, was a complete failure.  It was sub-par at best, from the moment we walked in to the minute we left and we couldn't wait to leave after witnessing all that was going on with the waitstaff. I am almost sure that my review will be deleted, but we will never return here, it was a complete fail.

We went here when we were on our honeymoon in Seabrook.

I gotta say, the food isn't bad, it really isn't, it's just really not worth how much they charge. Neither are the drinks for that matter. I honestly wish we would've just had ice water, it would've been more satisfying and less expensive (besides, it's our honeymoon, we had booze at our cabin!).

Also, i feel you should know that the burgers do not come with any sides, which is strange because typically American cuisine is always served with some kind of side, even if it's just a salad or some french fries. We had to ask for a basket of fries to share and it wasn't ready until well after we'd all finished our meals (which i guess isn't saying much since we just had the one item for our meal, no side dishes whatsoever).

Paying like, $9 - $12 for a subpar hamburger and then not even getting any side dishes with it is kind of a rip off.

You're much better off just driving down to Ocean Shores for their variety of different places to eat or the casino just outside of Ocean Shores.

Love the location!  It's in Seabrook which is a really great area.  The place was well decorated, and the service was nice.  The food was decent.  The iced tea was terrible - they really need to fix it.  I had the fish and chips and they were delicious!  My husband had the burger, he loved it.  He did not like the chili though that he decided to get as a side.  Overall - good place, mixed reviews on food but there are some good options.
