Wow! We were aware of the inconsistent reviews, but needed to eat between Ocean Shores and Moclips.  Decided to give it a try, I mean it is in "Seabrook," lol.  We were barely in the door when we were ambushed by one of the gals (who later appeared to be a manager or shift manager), that told us that they only had their happy hour menu available because they had a "wedding," to do.  There certainly should have been a notice  outside that notified customers of this as they turned away many that weren't willing to only have a happy hour menu. After asking our server what exactly were the pork bites, she responded that nobody had ever ordered them and she didn't know what they were, WHAT?  The head server then approached our table and explained what they were and we then decided to order them off the HH menu, which is the the smallest HH menu, I think I have ever seen.  If you only want fried or are happy with the chicken or pork, it might work.  We were "allowed," to order a caesar salad, but were told we couldn't add chicken to it (must have been because of the wedding?).  The food was adequate, but nothing special and we were hungry. The  wait staff left so much to be desired, from being inexperienced and bored, to "I'd rather not be here," attitude. I guess we expected more than we got.  The customer service was so insincere and confusing as we had 3 people waiting on us, even though it wasn't busy.  When the servers weren't waiting on the customers 2 of them were on their phones texting in plain sight.  Then as we were eating there was a clearly intoxicated customer (that was being served as such) sitting at the bar (which is right in front of the kitchen) and he reached over and grabbed what appeared to be tonic or soda water and sprayed the servers in the kitchen.  Instead of escorting him out at that point they talked about it and then cleaned the glassware that he had sprayed up and after several minutes in front of the customers, the "head," server told him to leave.  All in all, the image in which Seabrook  markets themselves as, our experience at their restaurant, was a complete failure.  It was sub-par at best, from the moment we walked in to the minute we left and we couldn't wait to leave after witnessing all that was going on with the waitstaff. I am almost sure that my review will be deleted, but we will never return here, it was a complete fail.

We went here when we were on our honeymoon in Seabrook.

I gotta say, the food isn't bad, it really isn't, it's just really not worth how much they charge. Neither are the drinks for that matter. I honestly wish we would've just had ice water, it would've been more satisfying and less expensive (besides, it's our honeymoon, we had booze at our cabin!).

Also, i feel you should know that the burgers do not come with any sides, which is strange because typically American cuisine is always served with some kind of side, even if it's just a salad or some french fries. We had to ask for a basket of fries to share and it wasn't ready until well after we'd all finished our meals (which i guess isn't saying much since we just had the one item for our meal, no side dishes whatsoever).

Paying like, $9 - $12 for a subpar hamburger and then not even getting any side dishes with it is kind of a rip off.

You're much better off just driving down to Ocean Shores for their variety of different places to eat or the casino just outside of Ocean Shores.

Love the location!  It's in Seabrook which is a really great area.  The place was well decorated, and the service was nice.  The food was decent.  The iced tea was terrible - they really need to fix it.  I had the fish and chips and they were delicious!  My husband had the burger, he loved it.  He did not like the chili though that he decided to get as a side.  Overall - good place, mixed reviews on food but there are some good options.

We stopped in here for lunch while working out on the coast.  This is in the new Seabrook development, on the east side of Hwy 109.

The atmosphere is perfect for the area; upbeat, but relaxing music and seating both inside and out.  Service was ok.  Friendly, not slow, but definitely not quick.

I had the fish and chips with a cup of clam chowder.  The chowder was good, 4 stars.  Not the best I've ever had, but tasty and satisfying.  The fish was also good, but not great.  There was nothing wrong with it, just didn't knock my socks off.  The fries and coleslaw were both 5 stars.  Fries were thin, crispy, and salty.

The girlfriend had the salmon ceaser salad.  This thing was huge!  Flavor was great, light on the dressing so it wasn't too soggy, and crunchy croutons.

If I'm back in the area, I'd return here for lunch or dinner.  Looked like there was a decent beer selection and wine list.

This place is so bad that I had to come back after my previous review was removed for some reason.  We have been here three times, I'm not sure why.  The service is  never good, in fact, we could have walked out on our check and they wouldn't have noticed.  To be fair, the food is find for the area, but if this place were in Seattle, it would be out of business just for that alone.

The servers will ignore you, the food will bore you.  The place just stinks.  There are other places in the area that are good, go there.  Unless you just like the white bread crap that is Seabrook, then enjoy your worthless existence.

I've had better food in the city no doubt. I don't know whether its because it's the only restaurant within miles, the amazing view of the ocean sparkling in the sunshine, or the fact that I was starving when I walked through the door, but everything was a solid 3.9 stars. Not excellent, but better than most places you'll find in Ocean Shores, or anywhere North of there (unless you're steaming the clams you just dug up from the beach).

The fare here is contemporary Americana cafe food, burgers, pizza, salads, etc., They do however have a small upper-end menu that offers things like smoked pork-chops, steaks, etc. All in all, it was worth the $85.00 considering the view, the beer/wine selection and the fact that I was in week end get-away mode.

This place is a must! Great service, great staff. Recent change of menu, I understand. I had the soft Taco with chicken. It was delicious! Red rice that was cooked in vegatable broth, so if you are a vegan, that is great. The Red rice had just the right amount of kick. It had black beans, salsa, avocado and a onion/red pepper/zuccini medley that you could also add to the soft Taco. All Delicious! If you like good coffee, they have the best. Such a warm and cozy place, fun when the weather is great, or when it is rainy and cold...

Wait for 20 min with open tables. They set us down and forgot to give us menus so we got them. They forgot to get our order for 20 min. When meal came it was small with cold chili. Kids meals celery with no ranch.
They didn't refill our coffee until we asked on 3 separate occasions.
The only reason they are busy is beer and lack of choices in near proximity!

This is a pub that feels more like a small cafe, and it's located in Seabrook -- which is a community right out of The Stepford Wives, just south of Pacific Beach. I had a decent Bloody Mary (with a slab of bacon in it) some good clam chowder, and a turkey club. It was all okay. Unlike some previous reviewers, I found the service to be excellent. Maybe because it's the off season. The table next to us had their smart phones out and were talking about Yelp reviews.

Considering that there are no other restaurants in the area, this place is passable. Nothing is special. Everything is uninspired.

Whatever you do... DO NOT ORDER THE TAKE OUT PIZZA!!!! You know how people say "bad pizza is better than no pizza"... They weren't talking about this pizza. We threw most of it out.

I'm sorry, where are these previous negative reviews coming from? Considering this is the only resturaunt in a 10 mile radius they are not doing bad. We had great service, the food was standard but more than alright, and the prices were reasonable. Dogs on the patio, killer bloody mary, and a view of the ocean.

We just spent a week at Seabrook, and in the course of that at breakfast, lunch and dinner here 3-4 times each (so managed to get through most of the menu).  It's not perfect, but it is pretty darned awesome form such a remote and beautiful spot.

Breakfast portions are huge - the omelet in particular is awesome.  The burger is great at lunchtime.

Dinner was also great - the Ravioli was really good, as was the steak.  Interesting clam dish, too.  I love that sriracha is the hot sauce of choice!

Service was variable, but mostly young and energetic, and unfailingly friendly!

And the location is amazing!!  The porch is fantastic on a cool summer afternoon; the dining room is intimate and cozy on a cool evening with the sunset streaming in through the windows.

It's not 'big-city-perfect', but it's darned good, and any misses on food are made up by the wonderful location, staff, and space, and fair pricing.  Good enough for 4 dinners in a row?  Yes!  (And there is nothing else nearby - promise!)  A great neighborhood joint!

Awesome!  After checking out other local options, we soon learned that Mill 109 is the best in the area!  It has a great ambiance, friendly service and good pub grub.  Their beer selection is pretty broad.  We had dinner and brunch there and both were great!  It is also kid friendly.  I don't know what our vacation on Seabrook would have been like if Mill 109 wasn't a restaurant option.
It seems the negative reviews are about the wait.  We didn't have to wait but would have made reservations if we did.  Some people need Yelp to air their own problems...

Walked in here for a carryout order, place was packed to the gills. Staff was friendly enough, but I wasn't expecting a 30 plus minute wait. Definitely make a reservation or call ahead to minimize your wait time to be served. The way they prepare some of their food is...unorthodox. The steak was advertised as including red potatoes and seasonal vegetables. What we got was mashed potatoes with potato chunks mixed in and shishkabobs. Everything was warm enough, and the portions were decent for the price. Place has a nice atmosphere if you can stomach the noise and the wait times.

I've eaten here twice, and had two good experiences. Friendly staff, good service, and good food. Some Yelpers have complained about Mill109, but we like it.

The Mill 109 has a little something for everyone, but be sure to make a reservation! Otherwise you'll be waiting in peak season for more than an hour. The staff is friendly, but laid-back. If you're looking to get in and out quickly, I wouldn't recommend coming to this pub. On Saturday evenings there is live music and the artist was amazing that we heard.

I had a delicious burger and fries. Cooked extremely well. A friend had the special - prime rib and thought it was just okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. The pricing is average for any other restaurant or pub.

My fiancé and I walked into Mill 109, which is relatively small. We're not immediately greeted by the gentlemen at the desk inside the door. But once he acknowledged us he told us it would be about 20 mins if we wanted to wait. There were open tables do I assume he meant for service. We had to get our own water (by snagging yhe pitcher from another guests table where it was left) since none was offered to us. Our "waiter" came and filled our waters about 5 mins after we grabbed it ourselves, spilling mine on the table as he clumsily poured the water. It then took a good 40 mins until we got our food, much longer than the 20 mins originally stated. We ordered a veggie omelet and a breakfast bagel. Not longtime that take long to prepare.

While we were sitting and waiting for our food we decided to search for reviews. Our feelings were seen in multiple reviews on here. We felt as though we were on a hidden camera show or in another universe. It was completely ridiculous to wait for food that long when it was breakfast.

Our food was warm not hot, but it did taste ok. My breakfast was supposed to come with an avocado aioli, it came with a side of mashed avocado.

While we were sitting at our table in awe of how bad the service was at this restaurant we watched multiple groups of people walk in and wait to be spoken to and wait to be sat. This restaurant should have been shut down long ago by the reviews I've read. They date back to June of 2011!  I'm amazed.

The tip of the iceberg for me was when the two cooks came out from the kitchen, walked out the front door, and across the street to admire a car!! Shouldnt they have been cooking for the two table thyself were still waiting to eat?! Not to mention one was still wearing his gloves. I doubt he changed them or that either washe their hands prior to resuming to cook.

Thats not all, one cook came out to bus tables with the useless server. While they were cleaning they were talking about how expensive some cider was that was served to the young girls that ha previously sat there. The server stated "it should even out. I charged them $3 a glass for it" and chuckled. Funny that he was talking about prices when he kept apologizing and offered us a discount that was not shown on the check when it was presented.

Needless to say we will NEVER go back to Mill 109, we will never recommend it to anyone, and would actually be happy to hear if it closes down.

Don't waste your time or money.

The family and I grabbed lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. It was the day before Easter and beautiful out! We had to wait about 15 minutes which was fine because we just sat outside and enjoyed the rare sunshine.

Once we got seated, the service was efficient and ambiance inside was nice. Kind of a rustic, modern feel.

The husband got a burger, I got a chicken sandwich, and the girls each got mac n'cheese. Everything was super tasty! No complaints here. I thought the prices were fair for what we ordered and the quality of food and service. I did notice a few really pricey beers on the menu. Passed on those. I would come here again.

This is a little gem in a small area called Sea Brook. The night we were there they had live music and she was an outstanding artist. The place itself is tiny, really really tiny. We sat at the bar because the 10 tables were busy. We could see the cook staff and wait staff working in the kitchen as the bar faced into the kitchen. My husband had a chicken sandwich which he said was great. I had the fish and chips. I've had better. The prices were ok but this was only average bar type food. Really nothing special.
The wait staff, 2 young women appeared to have some type of tiff going on because they rarely smiled or interacted with patrons or each other. And at one point I witnessed the chef take a pinch of Quinoa off of a patrons plate and put it into his mouth. Quality control I'm sure but with bare hands and why not from the pot with a spoon?

So this is my second update to the restaurant and I'm glad that I can significantly upgrade their rating.  The wife wanted to hit up the Salty Dog at Seabrook and we ended up having a lunch at Mill 109,  The new menu is really well put together, simple costal fair.  I had a chicken caesar salad and my wife had the chicken cobb.  The caesar was good, by no means the best I've ever had, but good.  My wife's cobb looked great filled with fresh veggies and chicken.  We also had some fries on the side, they were great.  We also noticed the food that other patrons were getting, and I must say that the burgers and chowder look far far better than they had in the past.  Most notably the service had improved dramatically.  We were sat promptly and checked on regularly.  The food did take a while, but not so long as to be upsetting.  If I'm up Seabrook's way I would stop in again.

I couldn't quite figure this place out. Is it a fancy restaurant? A bar? The decor and menu trend toward the former, but the TV over the tables tuned to basketball screams bar. The food was all right, though not particularly memorable. Prices are a little on the high side, but not completely unheard of for the type of cuisine and the monopoly on the market. I didn't feel that the service was particularly friendly, but since it was busy (only restaurant in Seabrook), maybe they were just tired.

I had the razor clams, and the risotto was all right, the clams a little rubbery, the grilled vegetables very high quality and tasty. I thought it was kind of weird that, on the nice-restaurant plating, my tartar sauce came in a plastic cup with a lid like from a fast food place. Again, bar or fancy restaurant? THEY CAN'T DECIDE!

I really like this place! I come to Pacific Beach as a regular weekend getaway and this is my new favorite place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menu is fresh and food is delicious. I had a black bean burger with avocado salsa and beer battered fries. They have a good variety of bottled beers at reasonable prices. The young woman who waited on us was really great and attentive. The prices were actually less than I anticipated. It's super cute inside as is the entire community of Seabrook. I will definitely be back!

After years of ups and downs, this place is now humming along very nicely under the care of an outstanding manager.  He has completely fixed all of the service problems accurately noted by other reviewers and he has expanded and improved the menu.  I'd still like to see a little more variety in the menu and a return to specials, but the Mill 109 is a solid 4 star performer now - great food, beers/wine/drinks and service.  Try it, you'll like it.

I'll be completely honest here.  I give Seabrook a little credit for trying different mediums with their "mobile" restaurant they keep trying to "reinvent."  When it was Cafe Tashtego, it had a more upscale wine, cheese and french cooking flair that was reminiscent of cute little bistro's in Paris.  The food was truly amazing and the chef we knew personally from his phenomenal reputation at the Ocean Crest Resort Restaurant.  Unfortunately, Seabrook (being the slimy snob idiots they all are) was too stupid to listen to him and so being the smart guy that he is, decided that Seabrook simply didn't deserve him!  Thank God for that!

So, from that break up, Seabrook decided to change the name to Front Street Cafe under new management and a new "cook" (not chef).  Another mistake since they essentially tried serving bland boring food as well as charging the same upscale prices it charged under the  the Cafe Tashtego name.  The food and the service was less than impressive and was pretty much a dismal failure.

Enter what is now known as Mill 109 taking the restaurant under the kitschy moniker of "loggers-of-old" and noting the main highway just outside its door.  The biggest problem now is that YOU SHOULDN'T EAT THERE!  At least not get a table and physically "eat there."  If you want to order something, ORDER IT TO GO.  The serving staff is awful, very uneducated about the menu, and just plain rude.  The food, however, is quite tasty.  Burgers and fries are delicious.  I give this place 2 stars for the cooks who actually do care about a quality product!

Bottom line, save yourself the trouble of ordering in the restaurant.  Call ahead and have them get your meal ready in 20 minutes.  It's a quick in and out and you don't have to deal with the horrible and rude servers.  No need to tip them either:)

Arrived at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon - was told to wait for a table because they'd just seated a large group of ladies.  Seeing I was alone (my two friends hadn't arrived yet), the large group invited me to sit with them until our table was ready.  So I sat with them for a few minutes and a table opened up and the waitress gave it to another couple who had come in after me!  She was totally unapologetic, too.  She said she thought I wanted to sit with the big group.  She didn't even offer to fix the situation!

Overall: Really bad service, frazzled waitstaff (both the waiter and waitress on duty were happy to let anyone within earshot know just how put out they were to be so "busy" on a Saturday afternoon), had to ask for menus, then had to beg for my order to be taken, ask again for drink refills, food took forever (but the calamari was delicious)...oh and only one microbrew on tap.  When the check finally came, the prices were not what was on the happy hour menu so they had to adjust.  I'm guessing the owner isn't around much because he/she would be quite distraught over the way people come in, wait and wait and wait, and leave in disgust because they are ignored.  That is MONEY walking out the door!

I don't see this place lasting long.  With a built-in clientele I wonder why they don't try a little harder.  I guess they don't have to - it's too bad there aren't other restaurant options in Seabrook.  Next time, we'll just bring more food to the cottage and do our own cooking.

And ONE MORE THING: would it kill you guys to turn the heat on in this place?  I actually wore gloves during my meal!

The restaurant is cute-looking, and because all the tables by the windows were full (maybe there isn't anywhere else to eat?) we stopped for lunch. Nice atmosphere, interesting photos, but they were keeping it chilly inside, despite it being a cool, rainy day. There was only one waitress, and she was very nice, but it looked like she could have used a little help. I was going to get the Cobb salad, until I heard the lady across from us say that her Cobb was "okay...but there's no chicken in it!" We still had our menus, and sure enough, Mill 109's Cobb contains neither turkey nor chicken, so I'm surprised they're calling it a Cobb to begin with. So, I ordered the clam chowder, and was glad to have something in a hot bowl, because by the time it finally arrived, I was freezing. It wasn't very good, though. Bland, but at least it contained clams. My husband got the fish tacos, which were much better. Weird guacamole, though. It must have been cut with something else that was a darker green, with a vegetal flavor. Not that it tasted bad, but it did not taste like it had much avocado in it.

Since our server was alone and had her hands full, I didn't complain, but a larger table, who came in after us, got their food well before we did, and there was no apology or explanation. But I can't imagine that their sandwiches and fries were faster to make than our fish tacos and a ladle of chowder.

My girlfriend ordered the Angus burger. A completely different burger showed up (which had a large slice of salami on it, when NO burgers on the menu featured salami). She told the waiter that something was wrong with her order, and he said "No, that's what you ordered. Sorry" and took off. I got the $10 fish and chips. I got two TINY pieces of fish and a LOT of fries. It was good, but not filling (unless you want an entire meal of fries).

We watched a party of 5 come in and stand directly in front of the "please wait to be seated sign". They were COMPLETELY ignored by each member of the staff, and left after 10 minutes. This is a VERY small place! It takes a LOT of effort to ignore a party of 5! Another party of 4 sat outside and waited 45 MINUTES without being acknowledged by the staff. Finally, one of the men came in and asked to be served. The waiter responded "yeah, the service is really bad here." He SAID that!!!

Basically, if you go here you will wait a LONG time, you might be served something COMPLETELY different from what you ordered, and you will not be treated well. Also, very bizarre prices (one burger was $6.99, another was $12.99, with not much discernible difference).

We felt as though we had entered some bizarro universe where the economy is great and restaurants don't have to provide good service to maintain a reputation and keep their doors open. I joined Yelp with the sole reason to write a bad review for this place.

Seabrook are you listening?  My husband and I went for an evening walk around Seabrook and decided to stop at Mill 109 for coffee, tea and dessert on Tuesday 8/16/11 our last night there. We were seated right away but after we put in our order, it took 30 minutes to be served.  We felt we paid $13.00 for nothing because everything was lukewarm.  I emailed Seabrook to complain and am waiting for a response, hopefully service will improve soon!!

A group of us visited this restaurant located in Seabrook recently.
Overall the food was good, but the service was extremely poor.  It was at least 10 minutes every time before the server would return to our table.  We were eating outside, so maybe they forgot about us.  The food was also extremely slow in getting served, plus one of the orders was wrong.
I had the cheese burger and fries which were both good.  Everyone commented on how good the fries were.  Others had the mozarella and tomato sandwich (not as good) and other burgers.

The prices didn't seem bad for a pub type restaurant.

I would like to recommend the restaurant because the food was good, except for the horrible service.  The joke the rest of the trip was about how slow the service was.

We liked the old menu better than the new one. Recently visited this past Saturday and ordered the chicken wings. I was expecting what most pubs serve, little chicken drummets. What I received were four full size chicken wings with about six bites of meat on them. I was a little shocked and certainly disappointed.

The chef should go visit some of the popular family style pubs in Seattle, like Buckley's, or McMinamins or Hales, which in my opinion are the best and most consistent pubs in Seattle. They get it and don't charge an arm and a leg.  All have great happy hour menus and are consistantly packed.

I appreciate the creativity of the new chef, but am also glad I didn't order a larger more expensive entree.

I think they could easily make some changes to the menu that would be well received.  They should have an option for Kobe Beef Sliders, or meatloaf sliders.  Boneless Wings with 3 sauce options etc.    Something that actually fills you up besides nachos.

I have been to this establishment twice now.  Unfortunately there are very little choices in the area.
The first time I was here, i had to get up to ask for a menu, get up to ask to place the order, and never got any refill on coffee.
Fast forward to 30 minutes ago...   Walked in...had to ask to be seated.  Asked server which beers they had from Rogue brewery, since it was boldly advertised on the wall.  Waiter told me that Rogue was, " Large bottles.". I explained that is a brewery, and again asked which of their beers the served.  Server went through the entire kitchen staff to ask what they had.  Came back to me and couldn't remember most of them.
He then tried to serve it in the full size 22 oz. Bottle.
I ordered the chicken ciabatta sandwich.  During the 40 minutes that waited for the sandwich, I witnessed the cooks throw out two orders of food because they made them wrong.  Then 1 cook had an order come back because he forgot part of it.  Then, same cook forgot the fries on a order.  Then person making drinks was out of ingredients, but just sorta was like, "fuck it" and served it anyway.
Ok.... So my sandwich was decent, but took forever.  The fries were a scarce potion, and overbooked.  I asked them what kind of oil they fry in, because my daughter is extremely allergic to peanut products.  The server asked all the cooks about the oil, no one really knew what they cooked with.  Finally they read the container.

And the end event.......when I gave the server cash for my meal, he explained that he has to keep his own bank, so he was "Sorry....but that he could not fully give me the change I was due, and that he hoped that would be Ok??".     WTF!!!!!!    Dude made me eat the difference in the bill!!        And me,  I still went out of my way to break bills to leave him 10 percent.  (and my wife thinks I have negativity issues...... I say, call a spade a spade!

Delicious bacon cheddar burger!!!  Nothing small about this burger either. Simple, fresh, well-prepared...the beef was full of flavor and juicy, bacon was thick-cut and perfectly cooked, the ciabatta roll was fresh, and it was all topped with sharp Tillamook cheddar! Oh yeah, great batter-dipped fries too! Just off of Hwy 109 about a mile south of Pacific Beach in Seabrook, this place is brand new and the name is reminiscent of the old lumber mills that used to populate this area. Very cozy with an elegantly rustic decor - I especially loved the great historical photos of the area on the walls. With a burger this good I will be back soon to try the seafood for dinner!
