Beers seem pretty sub-par for a craft brewery. The IPA tasted like a bitter German dunkel: bready and almost like someone spilled a hefeweizen in the batch. Special K (Belgian Specialty Ale) is a blend of pale and some Belgian ale. Interesting attempt, but very tart, almost vinegary.
Really wanted to like this place, as El Paso and Las Cruces are both in need of some solid local breweries, but I can't. It's cool that they let you bring in outside food, and I liked the location and casual feel.
Torn between two and three stars, but since many other reviews rave about beer that is, by any standard, seriously lacking, I'm going with two to even the scales.
I would recommend this place as an alternative to others. Im brand new to Las Cruces, and read about The Game. Went there, and it was way too crowded at the bar. I can deal with crowds, but this particular night, I did not want to wait and stand waiting for a seat. So I left, and went to Mimbres  Valley Tap across the street. I saw a sign that said Brewery, and that is what took me there. There were two younger college females there behind the bar working. Their greetings and customer care could of been better but whatever. I was not needing any special treatment or anything. The beer I had was the Liquid Nap. This brew is a must. I will def go back just for this brew alone. I had three before I left. I say if you like trying new places in Las Cruces, check this place out as they have some beer that is worthy, and way less people inside to deal with.
Review Source:I really liked this place except for the lack of food but you can byo so who cares? The green chile beer and the porter were both great. All the beers were good. There was nobody there when we got there but there was some awesome live music and it got packed. Plus it's a tiny little space. The service was nice. The girl was really nice and helpful and informative. We didn't talk to the dude as much but he was super nice too.
