The Mine

We went here for earlier dinner last night and we were so happy with the food we received.  We got an app to share, the huge Pilgrim Panini, and the ribs.  Everything was delicious and the ribs were fall of the bone tender.  We will certainly go back to this great restaurant.

Went to Mine last night for New Years Eve and definitely had a fantastic time ringing in the New Year.  I'm not home much anymore, but when I am it's nice to go out.

I hit Mine with my friends and it was quite crowded, but everyone was dancing and having fun getting away from the other crowds on Caroline St.  I wasn't feeling some of the club goers though-- a small fight broke out at one point, some of the people were fairly obnoxious, and a few guys just wouldn't quit with the advances even when it was obvious that I was just having fun with my friends.  I've been to many clubs where I was able to dance with friends and be left alone after I had already said "no" once- this was not the case last night.  Some people might say to that, "Well what do you expect when you go out?" but trust me, some of the people here were just overly pushy, even for a club atmosphere, and for that part of the experience I have to downgrade a star.  It's not the club's fault per say, but my experience last night wasn't quite what it could have been.  I personally think this place is good enough to be more selective and weed people out.  That sounds kind of terrible but the more exclusive this place gets, the better people it will attract.  It would only benefit the club in the long run in my opinion.

That's not to say that many of the people who were there weren't having a great time/looked great.  The one thing I can say about Mine is that there are a variety of ages that go here, based on my observations about 21 to 50 (singles and couples).  I think it's because the atmosphere is versatile and the inside of the club always looks great.  Last night they hired a particularly good DJ after 10pm and the song selection was completely on point.  They certainly know how to make a drink here too, and sitting at the bar is always a pleasure.  Overall, they really put a lot of effort into making the place look classy and clean.  I'll be looking forward to coming back here in the summer time, I think that's when it'll be the most fun for me.
