My boyfriend and I had a few beers and split the special - pulled pork nachos.
I also started with a Caesar salad. Unfortunately, the Caesar salad was quite overdressed, so much though that I wasn't able to really eat it. The server, while very outgoing and sweet, didn't ask how our food was. The pulled pork nachos were good for a few bites, but the pork tasted quite over cooked and possibly not fresh. They had a nice beer selection, and while the decor was outdated, it seemed like the kind of place you wouldn't want to contemporize. I'll try it again - a gentleman at the bar (seemed like a regular) told us to try the wings.
Saratoga Springs is loaded with many great bars and pubs but this is my favorite of them. Â A great selection of beer and liquor and they very often has wonderful live entertainment. Â The food is mostly typical pub fare, some Irish specialities, nothing super special but pretty good overall. Â They make an excellent chowder that has won several times at the annual Saratoga Chowder Fest that is pretty great. Â
Besides the great Irish bands, they have a regular dart league, Irish Step Dance lessons, and Celtic sessions.
