I love the options of pizza here and the beer selection is great! I dont really like traditional beers so I was happy to see such a large selection of non-traditionals on tap.

This was our first visit as we also discovered this place from a Groupon ad. The place gets PACKED on Friday evenings and parking can get hard to find. Come early if you can. They have live music as well  but not sure if thats just a weekend thing. The service was good and so was the food!. Would try it again!

Mission Pizza is among the top eateries in Fremont, definitely the best pizza and beer joint you're gonna find anywhere in the area.  Tucked away in the old Mission area of Fremont, residence of Fremont congregate here every weekend for all their social events.  That's not to say that the place doesn't get crowded on a regular night; i've yet to walk into Mission Pizza on a night where it wasn't crowded.  If you plan on having pizza, I recommend calling in your order 20-30 minutes before, even if you're dining in.  That is unless, of course, you don't mind waiting; you can enjoy live Bluegrass and/or Country Thursday-Saturday nights, or grab a beer and enjoy whatever sports game is on at the bar.  Their huge selection of beers will keep all of us beer-drinkers happy, and you'll be elated to know that there is happy hour from 4-6pm.  Can't go wrong with a pint and slice!

This was our first visit. We discovered this place through Groupon, and decided to head out to Fremont for some geocaching at Lake Elizabeth, followed by good grub and quality beer. Can't beat that for a Saturday afternoon!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We arrived just after happy hour began (a happy coincidence), and just before the rush began.
The service was extremely friendly (but not in that obnoxious, fake way), and prompt. We wish we had asked for the servers name so we could have given her a shout-out! She was friendly and fun, and made us feel very welcome. She was very accommodating, and offered us tastes of the beer before we made our purchase.

The food. The food was (and is, as we sit here eating our leftovers), fresh and creative! We ordered three minis, and had about one whole pizza left over for some midnight munchies. We got the garlic-artichoke pizza, the hamburger one, and the spicy peanut one (Gabriel's Fire). Sorry, I failed to commit most of the names to memory. They were all great, and we would certainly order any of these again, though next time we go back, we might just order something different; because with all of the awesome options, why would you choose to miss out on the others?

Our bill came out to $33, for 3 mini pizzas, and 3 great beers. (They have a selection of 32 quality beers on tap!!) We would have definitely been happy to pay this, but the Groupon made our visit even sweeter, and we got out of there for $18.  Again, can't be that for a Saturday afternoon! We look forward to our next visit.

Live music, too, but we missed that. Perhaps, we'll try to stay for that next time!

Ehhhh The pizza is really thick and the sauce is too sweet....Their BBQ chicken pizza is just not edible. It's like diabetes. I don't recommend getting your pizza here.

Awesome beer selection on tap- stone ipa's and home brews.  Exciting to catch the place with a live band performing. One of my best Friday nights spent with good food and food company.

    The ambiance was definitely that of a local joint. I was impressed by the beer selection but did not partake this time around;

Impressed by the variety of pizza selections; LOTS of toppings (maybe a litte too many for my liking); Interesting combinations and definitely on the healthier side (cauliflower, broccoli, snap peas etc) but the BIGGEST downer was the crust; It was either baked improperly (the crust felt like toast) or they used store-bought crust (because we walked in 20 minutes before closing).

I don't think we'll be going here again (at least for the pizza).

I love this place!!! It's such a great neighborhood place that I would have never found it had someone "in the know" showed me.

If you love pizza and you love beer....this place is for you! Even if you only one love of those two things, this place is for you.

From the super SUPER friendly people who work there to the great tasting pizza, this place is a gem.
They will help you work through all of their beers to find the one that's right for you.

Good for families, good for work people, good for a fun date.....nice and casual.

Awesome laid back local pizza place. The pizza is amazing. The pizza crust is crispy and they don't skimp out on the toppings. Great quality for the prices. The veggie pizza is awesome! Their live music is really fun and entering.

Ordered a large Amit's Veggie and Phoenix's Southwestern  half and half.  I saw the reviews before going on and was excited for the great reviews but OMG, NASTY! Crust was literally like CARDBOARD and pizza had no flavor.  What a waste, Little Ceasars' is better.  We ate a slice and just threw the whole thing away because it was just so bad

Mission Pizza really is a microcosm of the Bay Area. All at once you'll have a 10 year old's birthday party, the high school friends of the employees making the pizza, twentysomethings who skipped out on work early to take advantage of happy hour, and a slight older crowd who is there to see the live bluegrass band at 7pm.

Honestly, whether you're coming here for the food or the beer you're going to enjoy yourself. The pizza is very good. However, it is more Round Table good than say, Tony's Pizza Napoletana good. The crust won't be the best you've ever had but the fresh toppings and tempting combinations dreamed up by the owners will have you coming back here to eat for the rest of your life.

Like a lot of people I come here for the beer. How seriously does Mission Pizza take their beer? Well the place is lined with beer bottles collected over the years. They have a plethora of beer on tap. And they have friends who make kegs of homemade beer just for Mission Pizza. If you want a delicious buzz grab a pint of the Triple Black IPA (12% ABV).

The only downside is the size. If you walked in early Saturday morning you'd think the place was pretty big, but that'd be because there's no one there. This place is crowded after work on Thursdays and Fridays, even more so when it's cold outside so no one is using the tables. Also, I wasn't kidding about the bluegrass band. If it's not your cup of tea (it will be loud) it's best to step out before 7.

If you want to meet up with some friends and have a good time eating pizza and drinking beer, this is the place for you.

My experience was not as good as it could have been. My friend and I walked in and were not greeted or recognized for quite some time. I'm positive that the cashier saw us, but for some reason he refused to say hello or inform us that it would be a few minutes until he could help us. It wasn't busy so I didn't understand what the hold up was. I ordered a $5 not-so-tasty piece of pizza, which in my opinion, was too expensive for the quality and size. Though he said the slice was ready, he also said it would take 7 minutes? I was in a rush and unhappy to find that I would have to wait for a slice that was supposedly ready to go.

Very good, and crazy combinations/toppings! As you see my reviews, pizza is a fav! Well ever since the Aladinos in Oakley shut down I have been searching.... FOUND IT!
I received a coupon for this place and looked it up.. saw the photo and looked good, so tried it out... glad we did! I always get Sausage, Mushroom, onion...Why? well, to be sure the mushrooms are fresh (not can), Sausage is hand made (not cut from a link), and onions are not diced (like from a can)... This place had all the right ingredients (FRESH) and the sauce (multiple to choose from), I got the red/garlic and it was very good. The place is great with beer/wine/soda, and even a live band (not easy to find that these days.... at a pizza place) Over all This was one of my favorites and can hardly wait to go back... again a long drive, but worth it!

If i didn't have discount coupons for this place I would never come here. Very rude customer service and low quality ingredients. And I'm not even talking about the incredibly long wait time for a simple pizza. I went here twice because I figured the first time was a fluke. Very disappointed.

The pizza dough was hard both times, the sauce was mediocre, the cheese wasn't bad but then again when is cheese on a pizza ever bad? I got a simple pepperoni pizza once and a meat lovers another time and both times the pepperoni was not very good. I feel like pepperoni is the most popular topping for pizzas, how can you ruin that?

Overall the price was too high for the size of the pizza and needless to say the value wasn't there so I would honestly love to give this place a 1 star but their pizza wasn't bad enough to warrant a 1 star but their service was a clear 1 1/2 star.

I have eaten here for as long as I can remember, including their old location near the post office.  I always get the Kyle's Cashew, it is the absolute best.  I have tried the vegetarian pizza and it is good as well.  The service is always friendly, and they have a live band some nights.

Mission Pizza gets high marks for pizza and beer. Several IPAs on tap from Drake's Denogginizer double IPA to the more common yet still delicious Stone IPA. We had a medium pizza--half was a pesto sauce vegetarian pizza and the other half was Hawaiian. There were more interesting pizzas on the menu, but I let the ladies choose the pizza since I brought them here so I could drink tasty beers. The pizza was enough for the two ladies and me and it didn't disappoint.

Mission Pizza has some of the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life! In my opinion it's very similar to Round Tables (high quality ingredients).

Phils Combo - This is your traditional combination pizza. Pepperoni, salami, sausage, onions, bell peppers, and mushroom. You can tell that the toppings aren't cheap like those that you'll have at most franchises which definitely gives the pizza lots of flavor.

Andromeda Skye's Galaxy - Hands down the best pizza here. Garlic Sauce, spinach, onions, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, sausage, and lots of Pesto on top. At first sight this pizza looks strange and a little intimidating but once you have a bite you'll understand why this is so popular. Full of flavor and delicious.

Beers - They have so many beers on top including Drake's Denogginizer for those with a high alcohol tolerance. The staff is very friendly and will let you samples beers if you're unsure of what to get.

Great service, tasty pizza, and beer! Normally this would be an easy 5/5 but there's just one thing I can't overlook. The crust at Mission pizza reminds me of those from pizza found in the frozen section at your local grocery store; brand and brittle.

Quick Tip: Order thin crust, this will make the crust better but still not great.

My husband and I have lived in the Bay Area for 13 years, and have eaten a lot of mediocre pizza. So it was with only a little hope that we read the Yelp reviews and decided to give Mission Pizza a try, after moving to Fremont. We were so happy we did!  We tried all the specialty pizzas, and like the Cheeseburger and Cordon Blue the best, but none of them were bad. And the awesome thing is that they are so accommodating- if you're ordering at least a Medium, you can split the pizza into quarters, giving me an opportunity to eat the St Patrick's Day special, (With horseradish on the side. SO yummy!) when it's not at all my husband's thing.

My only complaint is that I wish they would buy out their neighbors or something, to be able to expand the kitchen- as it is, Th-Sat when they have the Live Music, it takes an hour or more to get a pizza, because they just don't have enough space in the ovens to handle the load. So if we don't call ahead, we get the sala

    The pluses
    - Nice neighborhood pizza parlor. Looks like a go-to spot in this area for families. Was nice to see a lot of families spending time together here.
    - Huge selection of beer including local brands
    - Live music! They had a blue grass band the night I was there.

This would have scored higher but the pizza itself was a bit of a let down. The crust was too thick and the pizza was too dry.

If you like burgers, give the cheeseburger pizza a try. (You better like mustard.) It will be super weird at first, but then you're like, ohh this kinda works. Then a few weeks later you'll crave it : ) And no, I wasn't pregnant at the time ; )

But my all time fav from Mission Pizza, a sausage and mushroom calzone. Oh Emm Gee! Its pretty big, but that doesn't stop me from eating it till I feel sick. Oh man, typing this now makes me want to go in tomorrow now.

    PIZZA:
-Half Pepperoni & Bell Peppers: The pepperonis tasted a lot like the Safeway select frozen pepperonis. Without the bell peppers, the pepperoni pizza would have tasted pretty bland.
-Half Angel's Heavenly Hawaiian (ham & pineapple): The ham was too dry and bland (just like the pepperonis.
Perhaps we came on an "off" day, but I felt that both halves of our pizza were too dry and overcooked, which really took away a lot of its taste. It was so dry I could barely taste the pizza sauce.  Considering how mediocre the pizza tasted, $21.40 for a large was a little steep, though the coupon for $6 off helped a bit. Their pepperoni pizzas and ham & pineapples aren't nearly as good as Mountain Mike's.

    BEER;
-The wide selection of beer they have on tap is impressive, but it bothers me that THEY DON'T HAVE BASS. I wouldn't make such a big deal if the guy at the cashier didn't lead me on by saying that they served Black & Tans, and then wait until AFTER I pay to tell me that they don't have Bass...and then have me settle for a funky tasting Black & BLOND.
-My bf and I are no beer connoisseurs, but we thought their Hefeweizen tasted a little syrupy.

    SERVICE:
-Considering it's a pizza place, there isn't much to expect out of service. However, I do give props to the guy who constantly walks around the restaurant wiping down tables and throwing the trash away. There aren't any trash cans to be seen inside the restaurant, so one of the employees just comes by and takes care of it.

    OVERALL:
I like the cool decor and the very chill environment of Mission Pizza, and I imagine that it'd be a cool place to hang while the live band plays. I also like that there are a few arcade games to keep us entertained while we wait for the pizza, which does give Mission Pizza a slight edge over Mountain Mike's right down the street. But if we're just talking about the pizza (price vs. quality), Mountain Mike's definitely has the edge. I think I would only come back to Mission Pizza to check out and enjoy the live band while sipping beer (other than Bass).

There aren't many places in Fremont with beers on tap, and this has been an Ohlone village staple since I was in elementary school.

Though I love bbq chicken, I have to say, the pizza I always get here is the '55 bacon cheeseburger.  It sounds weird to have cheeseburger ingredients on a pizza, especially mustard and pickles, but it actually works really well and is addictive.  For those who are less adventurous, Debra's garden is a good vegetarian option, as is the Mission pesto.  I like some of the other specialty ones, too, like the chicken cordon bleu and the ragin cajun.

The pizzas aren't cheap, but you get some pretty unique combinations.  Plus, it's one of the few independently owned pizza places around here!

    Highlight: gluten free crust!
    Second highlight: pint nights!!
I love this place. Live bluegrass music, tons of beer on tap and a vegetable pizza to die for. The staff is amazing as well. Never have I left without a full belly and a smile. I've now moved from the area but I will always stop in when I'm in town.

It was last Friday and I finally got my car back (got it back Thursday to be precise), it was pay day, and I was slowly regaining my strength.  I went to the gym that morning before work and managed to burn about 700+ calories.  What is depressing about that # achieved is that 700 used to be my "lethargic" day but for some apparent reason, I haven't been able to fully recover and do what I used to be able to do at the gym.

Treadmill - Incline: 3.0, speed: 7.5 and I would increase every 5 minutes.  I would run for 3-7 miles daily along w/ other cardiovascular activities such as the the StairMaster but unfortunately, I have yet to run a mile w/o gasping for air and holding onto my side because I'm in pain.  I have NEVER been this sick before.  I'm actually very depressed... so last Friday I went to the gym and pushed myself because I knew that I would be eating pizzas for dinner.

My Aunt bought a Groupon deal $15 for $30 and wanted to take the kids and I out to eat due to the many unfortunate events that happened since the start of the new year for me.  I did some research prior and was kicking myself in the ass for being a lacto-vegetarian that week because I saw the '55 Bacon Cheese Burger and Gabe's Philly Beef and Cheese pizza that I wanted to try but after weighing out all my no meat options, I went w/ the mini Amit's Mission Masala: masala, tomatoes, red onions, black olives, bell peppers, and cilantro; my Daughter got the mini Angel's Heavenly Hawaiian, I forgot what my Aunt ordered but we also got an order of chicken tenders, garlic cheese bread, sodas, and a Bud Light.

Right when you walk in, you will notice and feel the sense of community, a sense that everyone is chill whilst enjoying their Friday evening.  A country band was setting up and the place was bustlin'.  I think the male to female ratio is 10:2 but that might be because of the 32 beers on tap.  Beer signs, beer bottles, and 450 tap handles was the decor of this joint.  You can't help but order a beer or two...

There is an Internet juke box, live entertainment Thursdays-Saturday nights, and a small game area for the kids to occupy themselves (hopefully leaving the adults to enjoy some peace).  I would not recommend watching sports here because I only saw 1 or 2 TV's although they have satellite.

Reservations highly encouraged as well as ordering ahead of time is encouraged.  The wait for our appetizers took as long as the pizzas which was a tad disappointing but if you factor in a fun environment w/ country music playing, the wait is actually appealing.

They have 23 specialty pizzas including shrimp and salmon (blech), calzones, and sandwiches.  They sell pizza by the slice and offer lunch specials, too.  You want beer and wine?  They have it.  A salad bar, chicken wings and chicken tenders, and BBQ rib tips are on the appetizer menu.

The garlic cheese bread comes w/ either marinara or ranch... about 8 pieces total.  It's OK but I needed to feed my monster something so that was why we ordered this.  The bread was a tad burnt on some ends... because I wasn't eating meat, I only had a chance to devour my pizza only.  The crust was thin and crispy w/ barely any masala BUT the toppings was plentiful and was evenly distributed.  The only request I would have made: extra masala.  The red onions and cilantro was fresh so each bite had a crunch to it.

Because I went to the gym that morning and because I did not eat anything during lunch, I ate the entire mini pizza and I wanted more.  I did eat the rest of the garlic cheese bread and had my constant diet soda refills.  After a satisfying meal, I listened to the music and wished I could dance... yes, I could line dance and square dance.

I'm getting that '55 Bacon Cheese Burger next.

I'm still sick today and could barely do cardio.  Goddamn it!!!

    .
Tip: DON'T BRING MUNCHKINS.  I brought my toddler here and i didn't have much hair left after chasing him around for an hour.  There are beer bottles glued to the walls, right at toddler height.

Tiny little TV.  There was a group trying to watch football...and it looked pretty pathetic.  Don't come here as a group for sports.

    Live bands.

Great beer selection and great tasting pizza, but ... jeeez that's a long time to wait for a pizza.

I was visiting friends in the Fremont area and looked up a place for us to go have drinks.  MIssion Pizza has a lot of beers on tap and even more of the bottled variety.  The walls are lined with shelves holding all different sorts of beer bottles.  Somewhat sadly, their beer selection is a bit better than their food.  I had the BBQ chicken pizza, and the chicken needed more BBQ sauce.  It tasted something like a frozen BBQ chicken pizza that I could've gotten from Trader Joes.  My friends had the combination pizza and a pepperoni and cheese pizza that also seemed like something out of the oven at home.  The crust was really where the problem was, I believe.

There was a live folk band playing and groups and families at tables all around. I wasn't crazy about the band and it didn't seem that any of the other patrons were either.  A juke box would definitely have suited this place well.  We went on a Saturday evening and the place was poppin.  I wouldn't rush back to get food here; however, I would check out the happy hour beer selection! They close at 10pm, which I was told was to help curb drunk driving.

Andromeda Skye's Galaxy is the best pizza you will ever taste. I love that savory mediterranean-style garlic pizza with greek peppers. Ask for some artichoke hearts on top! Delizioso!

The place does get crowded and the pizza has taken up to 30 mins before but really, it's a nice place to kick back with some friends and brew while listening to some good ol' bluegrass or folk music. The bottles of beer all around the shop seem to invite me to try them all.

In my mind, it has always been 4 stars here. But just came here a while back and the pizza quality has gone down hill a bit. Not sure how but the crust was unusually chewy. Something changed! Who changed the pizza dough maker or recipe?

Well the live music on Friday was slightly disappointing... no banjo and also they didn't play too much either. Seems like the secret is out too since everyone and their mom's are at this place now. The moms man are so fierce too, seemingly growling at me just because I was checking if their table was open.

Even without all that, you still have awesome beer. Hope they never mess up on that by turning down the fridge and serve warm beer instead.

Can I give 6 stars here please?

I'll start by saying this was THE BEST pizza place I've come to in a LONG time, perhaps ever.  I randomly found this play via a deal from a website starting with a Gr..
Not being from Fremont, and really not going to Fremont, I think I'd easily drive by this unassuming place and not even notice it.  Luckily I didn't.

Pulling up, it's in a small strip mall right off the highway. You'll first notice as you walk in the decor is all beer bottles along the walls with tons of random pictures/posters/memorabilia. The seating was mixed. There were tables with chairs and then there was the bench seating. Definitely can accommodate a lot of people, but I imagine a group larger than 4, you'd want to call ahead.

It was packed! Packed isn't always a good thing, in fact usually not, but there's something about a family pizza place when it's loud, kids all around, adults have their beers with constant escalating volume conversations. The crowd here is DIVERSE. Lots of the older local crowd who seemed to know each other by name. Plenty of families. And of course all us younger city "folk".

The menu is really great. As a veg, pizza is usually a good choice. Here is the same but I'd go as far to say that they had more than the normal veg pizzas. Plenty of options, all looked great. And my favorite was the Indian pizza.  I've been a fan of Indian pizza for a few years now. They did a great job here. The beers are great. They have a really nice selection of te "standards" and plenty of microbrews, which I always find fun to try.

The last thing I'll mention and another reason that I love this place...they har live music. And I don't mean just ordinary live music. I mean good, authentic, classic live music. They had a band playing which looked like a mix of guys my dads and grandpas age. Looks like they've probably literally built Fremont with their bare hands. Just real looking guys. And they were playing a mix of country classics with plenty of Johnny Cash thrown in. Unbelievably perfect for this place.

Trying to choose a pizza joint to watch football game on a Sunday afternoon. Decided to give Mission Pizza a try. We ordered:

    - Andromedia Skye's Galaxy = garlic tomato sauce, spinach, red onions, black olives, sun-dried tomatoes, Greek peppers, sausage, feta, pesto. Personally this was my favorite! Love the feta crumb and pesto sauce.

    - '40 Special Chicken = ranch sauce, chicken, spinach, bacon and extra cheddar on top. It was a little bit too cheesy for my taste, but still good.

This place also has over 32 premium beers on tap. Very chill place and a bit quiet at times for a pizza parlor.

I was in the area and wanted to grab a pizza and based on Yelp, Mission pizza seemed like a great spot. Sadly, Yelp failed me, the pizza here is worst I have ever had.

    Pros:

Venue: The place is huge, perfect for hosting events. And I have to give this place props for bringing in live music.

    Cons:

Crust: One of my criteria for a good pizza is the crust, and this placed failed at making it. The crust for my pizza was super soggy with no texture and flavor. I felt that even a $5 pizza from a chain restaurant would have tasted better.

Quality: The crust and toppings tasted as if it was put out for a couple of days. The sauce tasted something that came out of a can. I also ordered the BBQ rib tips, which wasn't that great either. The meat was too dry and drenched in BBQ sauce.

I went with 4 other family members and they even agreed the pizza was horrible. Unfortunately none of us wanted to continue eating the rest of the meal and had to waste food. None of us even wanted to take the left overs home, that's how bad that pizza tasted.

Really wish that this place could be consistent between lunch and dinner.  I started coming here for lunch once or twice a week last year.  The women behind the counter were great, friendly, talkative, and welcoming.  The beer selection is good too, mainly because they have Arrogant Bastard on tap.  The pizza was to my liking, good crust, lots of toppings.  Not amazing or super special, but certainly better then a chain.

The problems started when I decided to get pizza for dinner one night, and things went so far downhill after that, that I have never been back after the 4th dinner attempt.

The first time, I ordered a pizza for pickup.  I was told 25 minutes, so I arrived 30 minutes later since I didn't want to wait.  There was a couple in front of me who literally, took 10 minutes to decide what to get, yet no one else would ring me up.  I asked if my pizza was ready and they said to hold on.  When I finally got up to the counter and paid, they told me it would just be a minute.  Seems odd, since it had now been 40 minutes since I ordered.  5 minutes went by before I was given my pizza, which wasn't fully cooked.  Unfortunately I discovered this at home.

2 more times, this happened, causing me to wait a minimum of 15-20 minutes at the restaurant, after ordering to go.  I found it took the exact same amount of time to order a pizza to go, if you walked in.  How is this possible?

However, the last time I went was the final straw.  After arriving 10 minutes after the time I was told, even after I specifically told them to leave extra time if they needed, I arrived to find the pizza wasn't ready.  After 15 minutes and checking in 3 times, I was told it would be out immediately.  Another 5 minutes later I go up, and it turns out, my pizza has been sitting there for 15 minutes.

I went and asked about my pizza 3 times in that period and was told it would be out soon.  Simply unacceptable.  A real let down considering lunch was so pleasant, but after the way I was treated (I tried to reason with them about this issue), I will never be back.
