Moctezuma's Bar

Not much to be said about this place other than that it's a long room where you can purchase alcohol and sit and drink it. It was deader than disco on a Friday night when we visited. They have a TV showing slides of seemingly better or more popular times at the bar. There isn't much atmosphere or anything at all of note.

They frequently run drink specials that are essentially 2-for-1; you buy a beer and you get a token to get another of the same beer. What people don't realize is that the pours are very small, so you're paying the same amount a normal pint would cost for 2 half-sized beers. You aren't getting a deal, trust me.

Loved this place!! I was recently in Prescott on a Monday night and was looking for something to do with a few of my friends. After going to 2 other places that were not exciting, made our way to Moctezuma's at 9:15pm and we closed the place down at 2am. Loved the fact that the draft beer was 2 for 1 (or $2 a piece) until 10pm but what made it even better was that we were able to purchase drink chips to use after 10. Jeff the bartender was the BEST BARTENDER EVER!! Very friendly, very funny, and just seemed like an over all great person. There was a fair amount of people in the place playing pool and ping pong so it was never really dead. The people in the place were very friendly and really made us feel welcomed. I would return to the place in a heartbeat if I lived in the area.

Make sure you're drunk before you get here! It's better that way. There are almost always fights here (which in my opinion is fun to watch) and they have HIP HOP IN DA HOUUUUUSE on weekends, which is corny, but a blast anyway.
