Whoopdittyfuckindooo! Â Someone said this place was the Subway of Mexican food. Â Don't insult Subway. Â This food is MexiCAN'T. Â I will admit that things were fresh, but the salsa's had no flavor. Â I felt like I was eating a plain rice cake. Â The portion size are big, as expected, but the taste just wasn't there. Â
At least you get a giant bag of flavorless, salt-less chips to go with the lackluster burrito. Â I ordered a hard taco too, but for some reason 'hard' meant soggy soft and falling apart. Â
I would recommend any other Mexican establishment over this one. Â Chipotle or Qdoba are much better similar choices.
Moe's is like Subway for Mexican fast food. Tacos, burritos, nachos, etc., are assembled for you behind a counter. The food is fresh, and sauces/salsas are flavorful. You get your own drink, a selection from many sodas or teas. Prices are reasonable, higher than a Taco Bell, but so is the food quality and selections.
There are vegan, vegetarian, and omnivore selections available. Lots of choices are available, and while there can be long lines, they move pretty quickly. The furnishings are getting old and beaten up, but it's clean and comfy otherwise. Just some holes in cushions. Parking can be weird, but there are usually spots nearby. Get a napkin from the Starbucks and use the US Gov't spots (apparently if you're a Starbucks customer, you can park in the gov spots). YMMV.
Overall, good food, reasonable price, although the interior's getting old fast.
I discovered Moe's for the first time when I moved to Bloomington in 2009. Since then, I have been (at the least) a weekly visitor. Their loyalty tracker has me logged at 95 visits as of today (you get a free entree for every ten visits) and I never seem to get enough! I have tried everything on the menu at least once and have never been left wanting. They have a little something for everyone (including grilled tofu for the meatless folks) and everything in the place is grilled fresh - that's right, no microwaves! Try it once and you'll be hooked. Guaranteed!
