Stopped here on our way to Jersey. The only reason it's 4-star is because the interior is ran down. This place really needs a renovation. But on another hand, when the owners is facing the choice between renovation and keeping the prices low what should they choose? Our breakfast was excellent. Took them a little longer to cook than I expected but the quality was good. My Mushroom and Swiss omelette was cooked in best homemade traditions.
Review Source:Homey atmosphere - kind of like a simplified Cracker Barrel with gift shop in front. Furnishings a bit worn but if they were new you'd pay more.  Nice attention to refills early but when dinner arrived our waitress didn't come back at all till check time so half a star loss there. Tasty pulled pork and cheese fries appetizer, great rolls   and reasonably priced food. Very convenient to I-80 but most people there for dinner at 5:30 Saturday looked like locals which is a good sign.
Review Source:I like to be fair in my review. Â I have to say, that for those who love eating food like this (ie. along the lines of Denny's, AppleBee's, Perkins) it's a great selection, but for people like myself who enjoy fresh, wholesome food it will upset your tummy :/ Â we stopped here with relatives as they were leaving town. Â We won't be doing that ever again. Â The service was great, hence the two stars. Â My poor stomach...
Grant it, we ate there for lunch, I can not speak for their breakfasts, I'm sure they're amazing, but we won't be back :(
Driving through PA can be long and tiring. This place was on top of a hill from the interstate. We chuckled at the name and said let's stop in for some breakfast.
I'm not sure how well they do business wise because we were the only customers at the time. They had a small section with gifts in the front area when walking in.
Really great home cooked meal that was decently priced.
I think our waitress could have been a little friendlier, but it was a pleasant meal.
I was a bit worried about eating here after reading some of the other Yelp reviews. I was expecting either swarms of flies or extremely rude service. Neither was the case. Other than the McDonalds across the street or the free breakfast at the hotel this is the only place close. Although there is a Perkins about a mile down the road if you are not feeling brave. I did agree with one of the other descriptions of the interior. Dingy sums it up pretty well. Oh and the wooden tables and chairs had that stickiness to it that I love. I only saw one fly. The service was just fine. The server actually took our order of 10 people without writing anything down and the food came out fast with no mistakes at all. Overall the food was on par with any breakfast diner food. The portions were good. The scrapple was a bit mushy but that is coming from a scrapple snob. They made mickey mouse chocolate chip pancakes for the kids which was a bullseye so cant complain about that.
Review Source:The table across from us had a fly in their food, at first I just thought maybe one landed on the plate, etc. I wasn't disgusted yet. I ordered an open faced roast beef sandwich and there was actually a fly cooked into the gravy. My husband is a policeman and has a stomach of steel - he thought I was exaggerating because of the table across from us - upon further inspection he was as disgusted as I was. There were also more flies than what I would call normal in any restaurant. Completely disgusting, unsanitary and UNSAFE. The waiter was very apologetic - however, the dark haired, dark complected girl that appeared to be the hostess said "write on the bill what happened and give it to my mom" - I am going to assume she was the owners daughter and she did not apologize. The dept of agriculture has been notified.
Review Source:Food is hot, flavorful, and freshly made. This is the place I come for a quick home-cooked meal. Their breakfast is my favorite meal here - coffee so good I can drink it black, fluffy pancakes, or giant helpings of eggs, and with real butter to slather on their flaky biscuits! Â (I don't know what this area has against butter, but it is surprisingly difficult to find.)
Their Sunday all you can eat chicken & waffles is pretty tasty too.
A nice place for a simple, satisfying meal.
I ate breakfast there yesterday - a vegetarian omelet with rye toast, which came with potatoes - and although the portion size was good for the price, the food was very bland. Â Also, one of the (two) servers kept having a very loud conversation with the other server - really deafening - and I didn't at all enjoy hearing all about her private life, nor did I enjoy the lengthy/very loud yapping.
Review Source:Stopped by today for a late breakfast and was pretty pleased.
As far as the atmosphere, it does kind of remind you of a grandma's kitchen, and it sells trinkets out in the main enterance (kind of taking a page from the Cracker Barrel play book.....just...not as nice and not as much). It has PA Dutch related items and cookbooks and the like. In the dining room (kind of small....only has about a dozen tables)....but the curtains on the windows gives that "grandma" homey feel.
Breakfast was pretty good....and the only thing preventing me from giving 4 stars instead of 3 are that I didn't necessarily love my breakfast entree....there was nothing wrong with it...i just wasn't in love with it (I ordered the Mom's Scramble or something named like that....basically it is your omelete scrambled up with potatoes and even the toast cut up in the mix of the eggs, sausage, peppers and onions)...it sounded good at that point and the waitress said it was the specialty of the house for breakfast.
I was intrigued initially...what I didn't realize it was going to be covered in 2 spoonfuls of  sausage gravy.....and that the pepper and onion juice (they were cooked peppers and onions that were placed in the mix at the time of cooking.......not raw as one might expect).....were  being sopped up by all the toast in the mix. Anyway....the short of it because you are confused by now I'm sure.....the flavors didn't mix well....the closest thing I can explain is it tasted something close to herbed stuffing....a little eggs....and SMOTHERED in Sausage gravy.
Now on to the good parts......WIFE's AND KIDS PANCAKES WERE EXCELLENT! Â Service was VERY friendly....and ask to sit in a booth because they are made for larger people....3 across on each side can fit.
SIDE NOTE:....I want to add something very important (at least to me).....that breakfast I mentioned above that I didn't care for.....I still at 3/4 of it...and was expecting to feel horrible the rest of the day......I have to give Mom's credit........I DIDN'T. There is no greasy feeling like I get when I go to chain breakfast places........this was a big plus....any of you out there who eat breakfasts at a chain might know what I'm talking about (like Friendly's in the northeast US.....not to single them out.....but they go good with ice cream only...but that is another review for another day)
