The Money

I've heard and known about The Money since I first moved to Charlotte in 2001. I'd never actually gone in though. Throughout the years I've had friends who have played there and have never heard anything negative about it.

Recently I've been frequenting The Money fairly regularly even though I live in Charlotte. This is the best music venue in the Southern Charlotte Metro area. Here in the south we are plagued by sanitized bars and grills that cater to one demographic and one demographic only. The Money is fixing all that for us who don't want to go listen to the same cover bands over a bottle of Michelob Ultra over and over and over again...

The place boasts of new ownership who are investing a lot of blood, sweat and tears to bring the building up to date and turning it into the best music venue in the area. Lots of remodeling and upgrading going on which means you will find something new and cool every time you go.

A full bar and 20 beer taps round up a great experience for everyone who likes variety in music and libation. I was there over the weekend and had great conversations with the bouncer, the bar staff, the waitress and even the guy rebuilding the tiki bar outside... oh yeah! Tiki bar!

I love this place and I am glad I became a regular now that the place is booming. I am glad the Southside is getting its music stripes so I don't have to drive all the way up to see a good show.

Nice selection of white trash mixed with stupid/drunk Winthrop a-holes. Perfect place to contract a disease. If you're a sheep, can't think for yourself, enjoy over priced drinks, warm beer, have an extra chromosome and you like top 40 BS, then this is the perfect place for you.
