This place was awesome. We just came over Forest Road 25 from Windy Ridge on our motorcycles and were hungry. We stopped to get gas and saw this diner across the street. I didn't have very high hopes but thought we'd give it a try. I ordered the philly cheesesteak and tater tots. This was one of the BEST philly cheesesteaks i've ever had. I order them all the time and this one was on a completely different level. The bun was buttered and toasted, the meat was delicious and plentiful, the onions and bell peppers were cooked to perfecting, and the best part was the chipotle mayo they put on it. You HAVE to try it. I am usually a troll on yelp and never really write a review, but I was so overly impressed that this is the first thing I'm doing after I got home.
Review Source:Pretty darn good greasy old style café!  It's the sort of place where the locals crank their necks to look at the out-of-towner (especially if he drives up with rainbow stickers all over his car).  But everyone is really nice here.  I usually stop there every time I need to travel to eastern Washington.  It has a kick ass bacon cheeseburger.  I wish the fries were a little better (cheap potatoes), but other than that I always enjoy my meals here.
Keep eating local
When the only other option in Randle, Washington is Big Bottom Restaurant and Lounge, you might find yourself at Mt. Adams Cafe. (I mean, who goes into a place called Big Bottom to order a burger. You're just sabotaging yourself when you do this.) The cafe is clean and the staff is fantastic. The food is alright, definitely small town fare. I got the chicken fajita salad and it was... edible. It had potential but it could have been better. I still think Mt. Adams Cafe is the place to stop in Randle.
Review Source:Stopped by after a slightly misrouted trip to Mount St Helens with a car load of hungry passengers.
Standard diner stuff but very tasty especially when you've overshot lunch by three hours.
What really made it for our group was the excellent service. A friendly welcome and attentive server all through our meal turned some tired and grumpy travelers back into happy road trippers.
One of the best burger places in my opinion.
I ended up passing by this place a couple of times coming back from hikes on Mt Rainier or Mt Helens. Also Mt Adams is close, obviously.
Every time, I was amazed by the excellent service and the delicious burger and totes.
Highly recommended.
Had breakfast here on a Sunday morning while camping in the area. Â The only reason I took off a star is for the coffee; meh, it's not good. Â But my breakfast itself was fabulous: Â generous, very reasonably priced, cooked perfectly to order, and tasty. Â Service was warm, very friendly, welcoming, and speedy. Â The manager even stopped by my table just to make sure I was getting everything I needed, which I certainly was. Â Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop in again.
Review Source:We stopped for dinner after a day of hiking and driving. It is reliable diner fare. The service was good and the restaurant was overall pretty clean. We will stop there again if we are in the area. The pies looked good, but we were full from dinner. I had the ranch chicken sandwich with fries, and my husband had a bacon cheeseburger with fries.
Review Source:Pretty good greasy breakfast with friendly service!
Stopped here for breakfast twice this past weekend-- early Saturday on the way up to White Pass and late Sunday morning on the way back.. Â Each time the place was partially populated by a cadre of regulars in Stihl hats-- grizzled old guys enjoying coffee and bitching about all the damn tourists that don't know how to drive in the snow. Yee-haw! Â Don't bother me none...
Anyways the breakfast was all I would expect from a roadside diner out in the sticks: hot coffee, greasy hash browns, hearty entrees (had the chicken fried steak Saturday and Denver omlette Sunday). Â Price was pretty standard for such fare; the bill each day was about $12 w/ tax. Service was fast & friendly; plenty of coffee refills.
I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but would certainly stop again when driving through Randle.
