Over all thi place was pretty good. The only thing that wasn't that great was the Tzatziki Sauce (The Sauce You Put On Your Gyros)  don't get me wroung it was ok just had better. Nice and friendly worker. First time I been to Chicago so I got a Chicago Dog too Not a fan of mustard  but she said I had to try it.. Still not a fan of mustard but it was a good Hotdog
Review Source:Up until this year I was a big fan of Mr.Beef & Gyros. But, for some odd reason they have really been lacking lately. These last hand full of visits have left a bad taste in my mouth, literally.
Their food used to be fresh, fast and delicious. Now I feel like it is either overcooked, undercooked, stale or lacking something. The last two times I was there, the bread was far from fresh and the fries were almost cold.
Needless to say, I believe my days of grabbing a gyros or a beef from this establishment have come to an end. The only reason they received three stars rather than the two they deserve, is for the two brothers that own this place. They are good people and seem like they really do care about the customer.
Ok, so I have only been there one time. I have a thing for a good gyro. I am so glad I have found it not far from my home!
The other Yelp reviews went on and on about the beef sandwich, and I will give that a go on my next trip, or maybe not. The gyro is pretty darn good.
When I first went in it was not busy. But being almost 2pm I should have expected that. I must have brought a quarter of town in behind me because they got busy. The two guys working the counter and grill we on fire, the food was quick, hot, and yummo!
The fries rock, they don't have small medium and large, just one size - just right.
As I was sitting there enjoying my gyro and fries, the other patrons were ordering cheese burgers, hot dogs, beef, sausage, mushrooms so their whole menu must be good.
When I was leaving I saw one of Oswego's finest go in for lunch, that means it has to be good.
I will return with an appetite and the wife.
GO GET SOME!
Mr. Beef reigns as the best place for beef in the burbs (at least in my humble opinion). I have been to this store multiple times. The staff is always friendly and food is always superior.
You can't go wrong with the beef. I have had the cheesy and non-cheesy  and have been delighted with each version. The meat is the perfect moisture to keep the flow of food passing into the stomach with ease. I haven't personally eaten the gyros, but I have been there with people who have. I haven't heard a bad report. Beware: the gyro platter is A LOT of food.
Bottom line: This place kicks butt.
