  After a long day of skiing, or rather tumbling through moguls, our bodies are battered and bruised.  We barely say a word to each other b/c we are so beaten, exhausted, and sore.  We take a place near the fireplace, order a round of black and tan, and compare battle scars.  After 4 or 5 rounds, the pain subsides, we feel alive, and we're doing the jig -- it's just what the doctor ordered.  No wonder Bode skis drunk.  Oh yeah, if you're trying to eat something, forget it.  The food service takes forever, so just opt for Guinness, the meal in a pint.
