  I go for lunch.  Nice service.  Kim is nice.  They are polite,, The place is just toooooo dark inside.

  The kind of place that reminds you of 'Cheers', you can go in by yourself and feel comfortable.  I always liked the classic wood pub booths. Decent selection of beers and surprisingly good food at decent prices.
  
  I am surprised that I am only the third person to review this place considering how long it has been here. Most likely the disadvantage is that they are one block south of the Mineola train station where as all the action is on the north side where the hospital is. This is probably one of the best kept secrets in the neighborhood.
  
  Ideal to grab a simple bite to eat, to hang out or to sit in a corner with a friend and pass the night away.
  
  Plenty of parking in the neighborhood after 6pm. But I always believe that if you really like a place, you find a way to get there....

  Overall this is an excellent venue, conveniently located right around the corner from the Mineola train station which was a huge plus since finding parking in Mineola can be tricky at times.
  The atmosphere is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Great selection of food and the quality overall is excellent. Although the portions are a bit small for the price, Murphy's Bar is one of my favorite venues for whenever I'm in the area.

  I went there for the first time on Saturday night and it was a ton of fun.  They have Karoke there every Saturday night and the crowd was great.  Eveyone was kind even though my singing wasn't the greatest!  lol!
  The food was a little over priced but it was very good.  The waitress was nice and attentive.
  They have a great drink menu and the liquor prices were reasonable.
  Overall, a great time!
