When we first walked in, it was extremely hot. Â We almost turned around and walked out. Â They took us to a table in another room that was cooler and comfortable. Â I had the veal parmisian, and it was just OK. Â Nothing special. Â My husband loved his shrimp fetticini. Â The decor was rather cheap with a lot of plastic vines and flowers. Â They would be better off removing that and putting up real flowers (dried). Â The curtains should be replaced as well. Â The service was great. Â So, this is an OK restaurant.
Review Source:I like this restaurant . The pizzas are great . Ask for the garlic.basil olive oil $2.00 to go with the complimentary bread while you are waiting for your meal, I always ask for this. Good menu I love the Crabmeat Ravioli , salads are good and their house dressing is wonderful , could use some music background to set the mood.
Review Source:Dropped by here on Friday (I think it was Friday!) night for two pizzas to go. Â Absolutely perfect. I love their pizza!
The slices of cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake and chocolate mousse cakes were wonderful.
Co-owner Frank was very pleasant. Â
The pizza, customer-service, and proximity to my house will keep me patronizing this small business.
Too bad. I kept putting off my first encounter with Napoli's for the last two months to allow them to get the kinks out. Â They still have some kinks to work out.
I ordered to go. When I try a new Mexican restaurant, I order Chile Relleno. When I try a new Italian, I try the eggplant Parmesan.
I was disappointed. When I called, the person taking the order was pleasant and helpful, even though he had a hard time understanding me. I ordered the EPP, and I wanted a dinner salad, (Cesar) with it, He told me the Cesar was like a meal. I ordered it, (4.95) and asked for the dressing on the side.
I got to the house (10 minutes) and the EPP was still nice and hot. I opened the salad....and was appalled to see wilted lettuce with even a nasty black rotten lettuce piece. It wasn't huge. The amount of lettuce was average for a house salad. I had asked for the dressing on the side. If the salad was big, I wanted the option to save some lettuce for later. I put the dressing on and took the first gritty bite, They neglected to wash the lettuce and the sand was in each bite, Yuck. So, 4.95 for 1.00 worth of sandy unwashed romaine, some tasty dressing and some croutons. (the container was an aluminum cake container with a plastic top The container was only 1/2 full.)
The EPP was huge. The serving size really was generous. It was also in an aluminum cake container with a cardboard top. It was piping hot but a huge disappointment. One layer of EPP was laid over some marginal spaghetti with plain tomato paste. I put 1/2 of it on the plate.  The eggplant wasn't really cooked. It did have a batter applied to it, but the EP was sliced very thin and still had the skin on.  I had to cut it with a steak knife. The Michellina's frozen  EPP from the HEB is better.
I've been to Italy, I grew up in San Francisco and spent time in North Beach eating at the US Cafe, Luigi's, and Original Joe's on Chestnut street. It may seem that I have really high standards. I wish my standards could be that high. I do realize where I live and was hoping that Napoli's Fine Italian Cuisine would be better than Michelinos or Lean Cuisine frozen. How sad that I was wrong. I imagine that the Jimbos/Taqueria Jalisco/Napoli's building will be vacant in a few more months.
